Today, there are tons of different variations for gas grills. Most often than not, we tend to consider the more obvious factors such as size, material, cooking power and price. While the number of primary burners in a gas grill is sometimes overlooked for the number of BTUs a grill can dish out, they are just as important! Thus, we’re taking a closer look at the best 3 burner gas grills in the market that I recommend the most.

First of all, when we speak of the ‘primary’ or ‘main’ burners, these are the ones under the cooking grate which we actually use for grilling. Secondary burners like side burner, rotisserie burner and more, aren’t exactly a real need to grilling, yet, quite a treat to have around. So when looking for a great grill, it may or may not include secondary burners. But when they do, it’s gonna be a big plus point!

On the other hand, if you’re still wondering what’s so significant with the number of burners a grill has? Simply put, the more burners a gas grill has, the more versatile and diverse it becomes.

More burners could mean faster heating time and make better use of zone grilling. Don’t get me wrong, 2 burner grills can already achieve a direct and indirect cooking. But with 3 or more burners make it easier and can create a range of grill zones from low, medium to high heat. This allows you to cook different food at different heat levels at the same time. So if you need to sear a couple of steaks over a high heat while cooking the side veggies at a lower heat, you can perfectly do so.

If you’re on a budget or still prefer to have a compact grill, but wants a more diversified grill, a 3 burner grill makes a great starting point. So to make the search for the best 3 burner gas grills short, allow me to introduce you to my top 3 picks! All of which have a powerful cooking prowess and are definitely a premium in grilling technology. So without further ado, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of each grill.

The Top 3-Burner Gas Grills Picks and Reviews

Weber Genesis II LX S-340 Liquid Propane Grill

Starting the list strong is from none other than the brand Weber! Anyone who’s a grill enthusiast would know the name. After all, it’s been around since 1952 by George Stephen and continues to develop the gorgeous grills we’ve been enjoying today. Weber is also a proud American brand that guarantees quality and celebrates the joy of grilling anywhere any time.

When it comes to 3 burner gas grills, Weber has a lot to offer from the Spirit II line to the Genesis II series. But among them, the Weber Genesis II LXE S-340 stands out the most as it’s also the highest-end among the range. Unfortunately, it also comes with the heftiest price tag. Nonetheless, its features and quality are worth the price.

The Genesis II LXE actually has 2 variants, the E-340 or the S-340. The main difference is between their composition, wherein the E is mostly with porcelain enamel while the S is clad in sturdy stainless steel. For only less than a hundred bucks more with the S-variant, you can already opt for a sleek premium look that suits almost any setting. It’s also easy to clean and maintain. Both are superb performers, so you can’t go wrong with either way.

Speaking of performance, let’s first talk about the GS4 Grilling System. The GS4 brings innovation and convenience to our BBQ experience by offering reliable spark every time to its three high-performance stainless steel burners. The grill then infuses a savory smoke flavor with Weber’s very own Flavorizer bars and ensures fast cleanup every after use.

The 3 heavy-duty stainless steel burners can generate a total cooking power of 43,500 BTUs. It’s a total powerhouse that can heat up the grill fast and sear your steak like a pro! Additionally, there is also a flush-mounted 12,000 BTU side burner which is perfect for heating anything in a pan such as sauces, sides to soups!

Made of stainless steel, the 7mm cooking grates give you a total of 513 square inches of cooking space with an additional 156 square inches of warming rack overhead. This is more than perfect for cooking for a big party. But for more intimate affairs, you can just tuck away the warming rack without a hitch!

For those new to the Flavorizer bars, these are amazing innovation you can only find with Weber. These bars catch any excess drippings and evaporate them back to add smokiness and flavor to your food. Whether it’s the E or the S variant, both of their Flavorizer bars are in stainless steel. There’s also a new Grease Management System that reduces the risk of flare-ups and also makes cleaning up the excess grease easier for you!

The Infinity Ignition makes sure that all you simply have to do is turn the knob to ignite the burners so say goodbye to manually starting it yourself. And if it ever stops working, the 10 Year Warranty will take care of the rest.

I especially appreciate some extra features such as the handle light and lighted control knobs which are perfect for grilling at night. Furthermore, you can also use the handle light during the day to help you see the rareness of the meat. It even turns off automatically to conserve energy. Furthermore, the integrated tool hooks make sure that I have most of the tools I need with me within arm’s reach. While the left side table conveniently folds down so it doesn’t take up too much space when not in use.

And just when you think there’s nothing new to find among the traditional grills, Weber once again made a breakthrough with iGrill3. It’s a modern way to monitor the real-time temperature of the food your cooking and the grill’s fuel tank level through your mobile device. I applaud how Weber makes it a point to have their grills fit with our techie lifestyle. While the Genesis II LXE E or S-340 are all ready for the iGrill3, you have to buy the accessory separately.

If there’s one thing that will hinder me from choosing this to be the best 3 burner gas grills, it is most definitely the price. Coughing up not more than $1700 can be daunting. So if you want to save up and still prefers a Weber quality, you can do away with the Genesis II E-310 which is just as powerful and heavy-duty but lacks a side burner. Still, the Weber Genesis II LXE S-340 definitely offers a great all-in-one experience for years!

The Genesis II LX S-340 Liquid Propane Grill is a beautiful steel beast that’s ready to give you a grilled feast at any time you could possibly want.

Char-Griller 3001 Grillin’ Pro 40,800-BTU Gas Grill

Founded all the way in Georgia, Char-Griller promises to be a fast family favorite. With its classic desire to help spread the joy of a good outdoor barbecue, the whole family will surely love! Char-Griller has been developing beautiful and reliable gas grills decades ago and have created various options throughout the years such as Dual Fuel, Kettles, and more!

As for this category, you can rely on Char-Griller’s 3001 Grillin’ Pro. It’s been around for more than 8 years already and it still reigns not only as one of the best 3 burner gas grills of today but also the best gas grills under $200. With over 700 customers and counting, this Char-Griller continues to receive rave reviews and remains relevant in the grilling scene, especially for those with a tight budget.

Starting with Char-Griller’s 3 stainless steel burners, they can fire up a total of 40,800 across a 438 sq. in. of cooking surface with an additional 192 sq. in. of warming rack. While it may not be as big as the Genesis II LXE, it’s still large enough to fit 12 burgers at the same time or fill up 5 stomachs in one go! Not only can you cook so many simultaneously, but you also have a handy warming rack for the finished pieces to be served.

While its firepower is more than capable to heat the grill fast and really hot. In fact, you can get this hot over 500 degrees in just 10 minutes and even hit as high as 700 degrees easy. And if you need to warm anything else up, the Char-Griller 3001 also has a side burner with 12,000 BTUs of cooking power. The gorgeous vintage look with this one clearly translates to an equally gorgeous feast whether for your family or even the whole clan!

One of the things that will probably catch your eye right away is the Char-Griller 3001’s beautifully rustic vintage look. I’m almost reminded of those old-timey black fireplaces from the 60s. This gas grill makes use of a heavy steel build – making it incredibly strong and durable.

While the Char-Griller may lack a techie feature like an iGrill3, rest assured that nothing about its features is old-timey, but rather a classic need for a grill. You can still rely on its lid-mounted thermometer to track the grill’s temperature. And aside from the burners, this gas griller has a lot of thoughtful features such as a side shelf for extra workspace, electronic ignition for fast hassle-free cooking, and porcelain-coated cast iron grates for even heat distribution and beautiful grill marks. Lastly, it also has utensil hooks to keep what you need close!

This also has a very solid steel build but surprisingly weighs less than a hundred pounds. Moreover, for WAY less than the price of the Genesis, the Char-Griller is also just as capable of grilling. Both the Genesis and the Char-Griller even have a side burner. The only question is which one could last longer.

Nevertheless, your $200 can seriously go a long way with the Char-Griller 3001 Grillin Pro. It proves to be one of the best 3 burner gas grills as it already offers plenty of features to look forward to and is just as capable in grilling as those twice its price.

You can wheel it out for a great summer barbeque and get all the fun of the outdoors with some delicious grilled meat!

Dyna-Glo DGB390SNP-D Smart Space Living Gas Grill

Dyna-Glo belongs to the GHP group of companies which specializes in a range of products from fireplace-related products, portable heating products, electric log sets, to barbecue grill products! Dyna-Glo does not only produce beautiful and reliable gas grills but also room heaters and food smokers that have been a staple in both homes and commercial establishments. They continue to uphold a strong standard and commitment to their mission to bring warmth to the world. Thus, their grills are also warmly welcomed by grill enthusiasts. In fact, Dyna-Glo never fails to emulate what it means to be a reliable kitchen appliance with their sophisticated grills. Wherein the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living is definitely no exception!

Once the three stainless steel burners get to cooking, you’ll have a sizable 36,000 BTUs at your command on a reasonable 390 square inches of the grill surface. The Dyna-Glo also includes a 117 square inch warming rack for you to do more than just keeping the food warm. Out of all 3, the Dyna-Glo considerably has the smallest cooking space. But that’s a compromise needed in order to achieve its compact design. Hence, among the best 3 burners gas grills around, this has the smallest footprint area to offer.

It is smartly designed to fit into most of our balconies and patios, yet still has plenty of space for grilling. Because despite its smaller cooking size, it’s still quite a performer with a capacity to grill about 11 burgers at the same time or feed 5 persons per cooking batch. On the other hand, its heat output is more than enough to quickly and efficiently distribute high heat over its grill surface.

To help isolate the heat and maintain its consistency, the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living makes use of a double wall stainless steel lid to keep the heat where it belongs – inside the grill and away from you! Additionally, there are also Steel Heat Tents that accompany the burners to protect the burners as well as flavor the foods. While its heavy-gauge porcelain enameled cast iron grates effectively retains heat to ensure those delicious sear marks and helps lock in the food’s natural juices. This way, you don’t have to settle with dry meat but also get to taste the meats’ juices in every bite!

The Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living is made of stainless and powder-coated steels for a strong and steady shape that gives you confidence as a griller and a stable cooking experience. But since not all of its parts are made of stainless steel, it may be susceptible to rust faster than the Weber. So proper care and regular cleaning are crucial. But don’t worry, it also has a removable tray under the burners with a removable cup for catching grease to make cleanup minimal.

And as a standard feature, you can find a lid-mounted thermometer to keep up with your food’s temperature. Firing up this beauty is also a breeze with the easy push button electronic pulse ignition system. While its foldable side tables are made of powder coated steel with a capacity to support up to a 25-pound load on each side! Bringing convenience closer to us, literally, the Dyna-Glo lets you place whatever plates and containers you need near you during the grilling process on its sturdy tables. Furthermore, there are also handy integrated tool hooks and towel bars that give you even more flexibility to rely on!

Despite having a small patio or deck you have, you can easily welcome the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living into your lifestyle! You still get to enjoy the same benefits and wonderful experiences you can get out of using a 3 burner grill in a small package.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Dyna-Glo DGB390SNP-D Smart Space Living’s Sizzling Features

  • 390 sq in of primary cooking space and 117 sq. in. raised warming rack for a total of 507 sq. in. cooking space
  • 2 heavy gauge porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates retain heat to sear food & lock in its natural juices
  • 3 Stainless steel commercial grade straight burners for performance and durability
  • 3 Steel Heat tents protect the burners and flavor foods
  • Infinite control valve options provide flexibility and the best grilling performance and experience
  • Double wall stainless steel lid assembly to retain heat includes a temperature gauge
  • Has Easy push-button electronic pulse ignition system ensures quick start-up
  • Side shelves with integrated towel bar and tool hooks

What I like

  • Compact size with small footprint
  • Both side tables add workspace and are collapsible
  • Has high heat efficiency
  • Has stainless steel parts and finish

What I don't like

  • Has no side burner
  • Has the smallest cooking area out of the 3
  • Some parts are still prone to rust

The Round-Up

It is pretty safe to say that 3 burner gas grills are especially perfect for those who are particularly big grillers without the need for a huge space. You’ve got all that grilling power at your fingertips with almost all the conveniences of a small kitchen.

If you want that extra punch of flavor, go for the Genesis II LX S-340 for those awesome Flavorizer Bars. You can even find a lasting buddy in the outdoor kitchen with this Weber. For the cool nostalgic vintage vibe and added portability without breaking the bank, you might be more suited for the Char-Griller 3001. And of course, if you’re looking for something sturdy and looking for a gas grill with beautiful fine design details, I highly recommend the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living that can surely fit into your space!

You know you’ve got the best gas grill when it minimizes any trips to your actual kitchen! The Top 2-Burner Gas Grills Picks and Reviews

Weber Genesis II LX S-240 Liquid Propane Grill

George Stephen, the creator of the Weber grill, only wanted to bring his family together for a good meal. And true enough, Weber grills are able to bring not only his family together but even families from all over the world. As years go by, the Weber name has become synonymous with backyard barbecues to savor and enjoy with the family, friends, and loved ones. Weber revolutionized backyard grilling. From traditional design to modern innovations like an electronic temperature gauge and Flavorizer bars, Weber continues to impress us.

If you are ready to take your grilling to the next level, then the Weber Genesis II LX S-240 is the one for you! Because even if it’s only a 2-burner grill, Weber manages to make it even more than just a basic gas grill. It has the right size and cooking finesse that can satisfy your cravings for many years!

The Weber Genesis II LX S-240 has a sleek and stylish stainless steel shroud and door which are durable enough to last up to 10 years or so! And since it’s a Weber and a relatively new creation for their 2nd generation Genesis lineup, this model won’t quickly fall out of the grill trends. Furthermore, with innovation at its forefront, you’ll see some modern details and few upgrades here and there.

For one, you can enjoy a good ol’ grill and beer any time of the day now. Grilling at night becomes hassle-free thanks to its addition of a handle light and control knobs that can now light up! While they undeniably make the grill shine, they aren’t just here for some fancy decorations.

The lighted control knobs are especially helpful at night, making it easier for you to precisely tell at which heat level you set the control knobs. So no more guessing, using the flash of your phone for light nor squinting your eyes at dark just to check the temperature knobs. On the other hand, the handle light uses LED to illuminate your grilling area. Not only is it helpful for grilling at night, but it also helps you see the true color of the food. It even conserves energy by automatically shutting off when you close the lid.

Then you have 2 stainless steel side tables. On the right side, you’ll find its 12,000 BTU-per-hour producing side burner, which offers versatility and helps save time by allowing you to cook the sides or BBQ sauce while grilling the main dish at the same time. The side burner also has its own lid for protection and allows you to use it as an additional workspace.

While the Genesis II LX S-240 is likely the largest among the bunch, it’s understandable as it packs the most muscles. Nevertheless, it tries to be as compact as possible with only 1716 sq. in. of footprint area, despite offering more functionalities. In addition, the left side table is foldable so it can make more room and won’t get in your way to make the grill easier to store. Hence, this grill can still well fit on small patios, decks or balconies.

Despite its compact design, the Genesis II LX S-240 is roomy enough to grill 11 quarter-pounders simultaneously on its 380 sq. in. of cooking grates. Wherein the grates are made of premium grade stainless steel that effectively retain and distribute heat evenly across the surface. In addition, it has a 114 sq. in. of tuck-away warming rack for your buns, keeping the food warm or slow cooking. And with the presence of 2 burners, you can easily do a direct and indirect grilling, just like a pro!

Getting a spacious grilling area won’t be complete without the intense heat to fire up the grill! Fortunately, the LX S-240 is never lacking in power with its high-performing burners producing 29,000 BTU-per-hour output. Considering its size, its fire output is just the standard to effectively distribute heat across its cooking area. You won’t have a problem preheating this grill fast, and even get it really hot to over 650 degrees. So achieving a wonderful deep sear becomes a piece of cake! Add to that its stainless steel grates and you’ll be making chef-level sear marks to boast.

Now, while it may seem like it works just like any ordinary 2-burner grills, Weber has a trump card that totally sets their gas grills above the average. Many have tried copying, but it will never be as great as Weber’s GS4 grilling system. It composes of an Infinity ignition, powerful burners, Flavorizer bars and grease management system. All of them work hand in hand to provide the utmost satisfaction with your backyard grilling experience from start to finish!

You can quickly fire up the grill by just turning the knob. While its promising burners ensure you to cook your food just the way you want it, and infused them with more flavor and smoky taste with the Flavorizer bars. Now, don’t even get me started with the Flavorizer bars! These Flavorizer bars are heavenly gifts given by the grill Gods. But seriously, they’re that good.

These bars are one of Weber’s great innovations and unique treat we can only find among their gas grills. With the presence of these bars, grilling with gas tastes just as good as grilling on charcoal grills. As we grill the meats, their juices drip down to the Flavorizer bars. As the drippings hit the bars, the juices vaporize back to the food, coating them for that bacon’s smoky flavor. No one can resist bacon!

With the S-variant, the Flavorizer bars are also in stainless steel, so they’re more durable and long-lasting. They’re pretty easy to clean as well by simply brushing them with a stainless steel grill brush to keep them performing at their best.

On the other hand, all grease and drippings that didn’t vaporize will funnel down, away from the burner, and into a disposable drip tray. Hence, this reduces the risks of flare-ups, protects the burner tubes from clogging and makes cleaning the grill after every use much easier. Cleaning its grease tray and catch pan makes no sweat! You simply slide the tray out from the cabinet. When the catch pan starts to fill, just remove and throw it into the trash bin; then don’t forget to replace it with an empty pan.

And since we’re in the Digital Age, Weber has taken the initiative to be the first to combine the benefits of technology to grills in the form of iGrill3. The iGrill3 is a digital thermometer that can let you know the real-time temperature of the grill and fuel tank level straight to your phones via bluetooth. In which, the iGrill3 is compatible with the Genesis II LX S-240. Since we’re practically glued to our phones anyway, any tech savvy will find this pretty interesting and useful. You’ll just have to buy it separately, though.

While the Weber Genesis II LX S-240 can suck you dry with its hefty price tag of going over one thousand price point, you’ll be getting your money’s worth in the long run. This is by far the most versatile and capable 2-burner gas grill, as it can do more than just a basic grill. It even has a side burner for other cooking options in one compact package. Best of all, Weber guarantees you a quality that can last for years of usage, not just seasons. Hence, if you can afford the price, the Genesis II LX S-240 tops the best 2 burner gas grills category.

If you want to cut down on price but still wants the same capability as this, I recommend you to get the E-240 variant. For about $900, you get the same quality with only a few stainless steel parts like the lid and door being replaced with porcelain-enameled steel. Fortunately, the essentials such as burners, grates, and Flavorizer bars are still in stainless steel.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Weber Genesis II LX S-240 Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • GS4 Grilling System includes Infinity ignition that lights 2 high-performance stainless steel burners with stainless steel Flavorizer bars and makes grease removal easy with New Grease Management System.

  • Powerful burners produce 29,000 BTU-per-hour input.

Weber Spirit II E-210

With Weber setting the bar high makes it hard to find a contender that can compete well with the LX S-240’s features. Therefore, only another Weber gas grill can go head on with their own product. After all, they have a track record of long-lasting products that help you achieve a perfectly grilled and flavorful food. So you can never go wrong with a Weber. This time, we’re taking a closer look on their Spirit line, specifically the Weber Spirit II E-240.

The Spirit line is actually the entry-level grills Weber offer. But despite being an entry-level grill, they’re pretty capable of throwing some knock-out punches! For more than half the price of the LX S-240, the Spirit II E-210 can also equip your patio or deck with a durable, high-performing cooking machine for you, your friends and family for many years to come.

The Weber Spirit II E-240 looks just as attractive and modern as the LX S-240. Its left side table is also foldable to make more room when it is not in use. But the Spirit II E-210 is even more compact as it only occupies 1,248 sq. in. of the footprint area, so it can easily fit in small spaces without folding the table. Moreover, it has 4 color options to choose from, in which, I personally like its red variant. I like how it’s exuding power and passion for grilling.

Although in my honest opinion, I still prefer the old built of the previous Spirit line than its new open-cart design. That’s because the old Spirit looks fuller and has a one-door cabinet, where you can store the propane tank. As for the second generation of Spirit, the propane tank is now exposed as you have to connect it to the side.

Nevertheless, I still recommend you to buy the new Spirit since it’ll be more long-lasting in the long run given how old models and their replacement parts tend to get discontinued in the future. Furthermore, the new design makes the grill more spacious, accessible and slightly lighter than before. And with the tank located on the side, accessing and removing the tank becomes much easier. You can also make use of its side hooks, so all of your grilling tools are within arm’s reach.

Weber promises top-notch grilling quality and the Weber Spirit II E-210 is no exception. It also equips the GS4 grilling system, so expect the same superb grilling experience and satisfaction like no other. The Flavorizer bar we dear so much is also present, hooray for that! Although, being a lower end Weber, the Flavorizer bars are in porcelain coating instead of stainless steel. Yet, they still work wonders!

When it comes to cooking prowess, the Spirit II E-240 is not to bow down with a 26,500 total BTU’s of even heat from stainless steel burners. It distributes heat effectively over 360 square inches of primary cooking space and 90 square inches of warming rack. While the warming rack is noticeably smaller than the LX, hey, it’s better to have one than none at all, right? Furthermore, the size of its grilling surface is enough to grill 10 burgers at once. Pretty nifty, considering its compact package. What it’s only lacking is a side burner, which I really like to have but can do without it.

And while the Spirit’s cooking grates are only made of porcelain-enameled, cast iron, they are unique on its own. You can get creative with your cooking and experiment on its reversible grates. The thin side is ideal for grilling delicate food such as fish and shrimp. On the other hand, the wider side makes thicker sear marks perfect for ribs, steaks and other red meats. It even helps enhance the flavor of the food without having to season the grates.

Despite being the smaller brother of LX, you’ll also be glad to know that this little machine is already iGrill3 ready! That means you can make use of the same convenience of tracking its fuel and temperature straight to your phone. Although even if you don’t feel like buying the iGrill3, you can still monitor your grill’s temperature with its lid-mounted temperature gauge. So you will never go wrong with cooking your savory foods perfectly the way you want it.

When it comes to best value for money, I’d say the Weber Spirit II E-210 tops the best 2 burner gas grills competition. The Spirit II E-210 is small, yet powerful that is comparatively inexpensive for less than $500. With Weber known for its longevity and superior quality, the Spirit II E-210 is the perfect combination of price, quality, and performance in providing the utmost grill experience. No wonder people who have tried this product are highly satisfied.

Char-Broil Performance 300 2-Burner Gas Grill

If you think the last one will be another Weber, well, you’re wrong, mate! Although I honestly think that there’s another Weber that can stir the competition for the best 2 burner gas grills, I allotted a spot for Char-Broil. That’s because they can also make excellent gas grills for the best price! And I believe everyone deserves a good ol’ barbecue in their homes no matter the price they can afford. Hence, I found that true enough with the Char-Broil Performance 300.

Given how this grill is comparatively inexpensive, you can’t expect it to have any intricate upgrades or high-tech features. It’s pretty much just a basic, competent grill for the right price. Still, it looks rather sleek in silver and black with the lid, heat tents and control fascia in stainless steel. On the other hand, both the cast-iron grates and rack have porcelain coating. So while it’s not as tough as stainless steel, the porcelain enamel adds durability and resistance against rust.  Lastly, it’s cabinet has enough room to store its propane tank and a few more other stuff.

Although few have noted on getting stuff sticking on the grates. Well just a quick tip, let’s break in a new grill by firing it all the way for 20-30 minutes to let it cook off any chemicals or debris left on the cooking surfaces. Then grill very fatty meats first to cure the cast iron grates to help prevent food from sticking to it later on. Plus, season the grates with light and even coating of vegetable oil as it also works in keeping stuff from sticking and resisting rust.

The Char-Broil Performance 300 may not be as expensive as a Weber, but they don’t shy away from delivering fantastic results. The Char-Broil Performance features a 300 square inch of the primary cooking area, and a 100 square inch of a swing-away rack. Out of the 3, this has the smallest grilling surface. Nevertheless, it still has plenty of room to cook 9 burger patties simultaneously or fill 4 empty stomachs in 1 cookout. So you don’t have to miss out on your barbecue fun with the bros nor an intimate grill night with your lady.

On the bright side, having a smaller grilling area has made it even more compact with only 1,051.05 sq. in. of the footprint area. Moreover, not just one, but both of its side shelves can fold down when not in use. So it definitely won’t get in your way and very ideal for those living in apartments or condos with balconies, patios, and decks where space is at a premium. If it’s only a matter of being the smallest badass around, this Char-Broil might as well wins the trophy!

As for bringing in the heat, this grill won’t be a pushover with producing 24,000 BTU’s of fire output. It has the highest heat to size ratio, meaning, getting this grill hot takes the least amount of time. You won’t end up getting a burned meat on the outside and still raw on the inside either. Because it’s an efficient grill that can cook food the right way with its flavor sealed in, just the way you want it.

Without having to rely on nifty gadgets, the Char-Broil Performance goes old school by also having a temperature gauge on the lid. It also equips an electronic igniter for a quick startup. Since rust is pretty much the cancer of all grills, Char-Broil has also made cleaning simpler for us with its removable porcelain-coated grease pan. It catches food drippings, so there won’t be a stressful, messy cleanup after every use. Therefore, make sure to always clean the grill to delay rust from forming. Don’t forget to clean the firebox as well to prevent flare-ups, while investing on a cover won’t hurt either.

For what it can do for the price, the Char-Broil Performance 300 is a sure keeper. It looks stylish and a perfect size for a small family. Despite its compact design, it has the cooking power of high-priced grills! So if you want a high performing grill for just under $300 that will last you a solid of 5 years or so, this is a pretty darn good choice.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Char-Broil Performance 300 Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • 2 burners produce 24,000 BTU-per-hour input
  • 300 square inches of primary cooking on porcelain-coated cast iron grates, plus 100 square inch swing-away rack with porcelain-coated grates
  • Stainless steel lid and UFC provide style and durability
  • Features a lid-mounted temperature gauge for added heat control and electronic ignition for fast startups.
  • Metal side shelves fold down when not in use.
  • Convenient access storage cabinet to store propane tank and accessories.
  • The grill sits on 4 casters, two of which lock for mobility and stability.

What I like

  • Compact size with small footprint
  • Both side tables add workspace and can fold
  • Affordable but performs well

What I don't like

  • Average quality of materials
  • Shorter warranty

The Round-Up

And that wraps up the best 2 burner gas grills currently available in the market.  Each of these grills has unique innovations and capabilities for a hell of a good deal. So it is up to you to make the right decision for your needs.

If budget is not an issue and you want a high-end grill that can do more than just a basic grill, the Weber Genesis II LX S-240 tops the bill. You’ll get to experience superior quality in barbecue grilling for many years to come.

Get to experience the same excellence and grill innovations for half the price with the Weber Spirit II E-210. It’s the perfect balance of value and price that can also last for years.

Lastly, for those who are just starting to build a family or wants to get serious with grilling but don’t have the means, then the Char-Broil Performance 300 will not let you down. It is by far one of the best 2 burner gas grills in this price range that will never fail to perform.

But if all of your concerns is just about finding a grill with the smallest footprint, looking through the best small gas grills is the best solution! Whether you want a single or more burners for the smallest size with the biggest features to offer, you can most definitely find them there.

As a parting reminder, use your grill right, and you will be really happy. Use it wrong and you will swear it’s the biggest boat anchor you’ve ever bought! Happy grilling!

The Top Small Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Fuego F24C Professional Gas Grill

If you think you’re looking at a UFO spaceship, you’re probably just watching too much sci-fi films. And no, it’s not a macaroon either, you’re just hungry, lol! What you’re seeing is a real, fine-ass gas grill, currently invading the grill market. And they’re doing really good.

All Fuego gas grills look distinctly futuristic and refreshing. They look nothing like the usual grills we’ve come to know and love. However, this bold statement comes as a no surprise anymore since the man behind the design is Robert Brunner, who just so happens to be the former Chief Designer of Apple.

Knowing Apple, they’re really good at setting themselves apart and most of their success can be attributed to their well-thought-out design. As a result, Apple is standing out that tend to make their competitors like to copy how they look nowadays. And just like Apple, Fuego won’t stand to just follow others, but instead sets itself apart and make a name for itself. Hence, we have remarkable Fuego gas grills that stand small but perform big! And speaking of big, the Fuego F24C has the biggest cooking space among other Fuego grills.

If you compare the Fuego F24C to the traditional gas grill, you’ll easily notice how the Fuego F21C is so slim. You can already tell that it’s a perfect fit for those with small areas. In fact, it only occupies 24 x 24 inches of the footprint for a total of 576 sq. in. of surface area! With its compact package, you can assemble this way faster as well. You only need 20 fasteners to put this together and set it up in 30 minutes. Before you know it, you’ll be grilling in no time!

Small as it may be, this comes with impressive features that can go head to head with big sized grills. First off, you get a whopping total of 525 square inches of the cooking area despite its slim profile. That means you can grill as much as 20 quarter-pound burgers at the same time across its wide cooking surface of 415 square inches. You can then transfer the cooked foods on its 110-square inch warming rack to keep them warm without burning them.

If that’s not enough, you can grill an 18-pound of turkey with the F24C! So you have another reason to thank for in Thanksgiving. Because now you don’t have to put up with grocery-bought, roasted turkey, but instead, make it into a real feast by making the star meal yourself! Just make sure to remove the warming rack first to fit the whole turkey inside.

On the other hand, you can’t underestimate its firepower as well! The Fuego F24C packs 26,500 BTU’s of heat power. While technically, that heat capacity is a bit lower than the recommended fire output for its grill size. This usually results to longer preheat time. However, Fuego manages to turn it around thanks to its concentric design. This enables the grill to heat it to 500F in just 5 minutes with the highest setting and lid closed. Furthermore, the Fuego F24C can get really hot and even hit a high temperature to a maximum of 650F for that perfect sear.

And since it has lower BTU rate, it actually consumes fuel more efficiently. Hence, your gas tank will last longer and the food you cook retains more moisture for that juicy taste. In the end, you’re getting a powerhouse grill that lets you save more.

Fuego also proves that being a grill master has nothing to do with the size of a grill! Since Fuego F24C houses a dual zone burner system, it allows you to do a direct and indirect grilling. Wherein Zone 1 utilizes 18,000 BTU per hour of heat, dedicated to low and slow cooking with indirect heat. While Zone 2, located at the inner part of the grill grate, boosts Zone 1 with an additional of 8,500 BTU per hour of direct heat for searing steaks and seafood.

Pair the dual ring burner with a 15-pound cast iron grate and you’ll have a durable grill that ensures no hotspots and makes beautiful sear marks. Add to that a heat reflector panel, then you can cook the meat tenderly even with indirect cooking and achieve that crispy goodness on the outside with direct grilling. There are all sorts of dishes that require low and slow cooking or fast and hot, so it’s all up to you to experiment and check endless recipes. You’ll definitely enjoy grilling with the Fuego and can’t help but to savor your grilled meats in every bite!

I think every one of us hates dealing with the messy cleanup after grilling the most. Fuego helps ease that burden with an easy to clean residue tray, where the cooking debris and grease will drop straight into. It’s also easy to access to make the cleaning process hassle-free. You don’t even have to worry about getting flare-ups since it’s safely stored below the firebox.

The Fuego F24C is also about convenience. It has a  hinged propane tank storage door for easy access and quick replacing of the gas tank.  Its side handle is also versatile. It mainly serves as a handle for easy mobility of the grill, but you can also use it to hang your cooking utensils. Speaking of mobility, it has 4 sturdy non-marking casters to make maneuvering smooth, while it’s also lockable to keep it in place. While grilling on a windy day won’t be a problem since the large hinged lid design can also work as a windbreaker when grilling with an open lid.

There are few things you need to take note though. First, I suggest that you buy a cover for this especially if you’ll leave this on a balcony with no roof. Because when rain pours in, it could actually get in through the vent holes on the lid, filling your grease pan with water. Although whether there’ll be a roof or not above the grill, it’s better to cover it for longevity and protection against the elements. Another thing, the temperature gauge is not very reliable, so you’re better off using a different one for precise cooking.

Nevertheless, the Fuego F24C Professional gas grill is clearly still one of the best small gas grills due to its true combination of innovation, contemporary design, and powerful performance. The F24C is a vision to behold and comes loaded with impressive features in a small package, making it ideal for grill foodies with limited spaces.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Fuego F24C Professional Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • 525 sq. in. of total grilling surface from 415 sq. in. main cooking area and 110 sq. in. warming rack
  • Compact 24″ x 24″ footprint area perfect for small patio/balcony
  • 26, 500 BTU/hr. dual-zone burner system for direct and indirect grilling
  • Reaches temperature of 500F in just 5 minutes and hits 250f-700f overall temperatures
  • Hinged 45 Degree lid design to prevent reaching over the hot fire
  • Easy to clean drop through residue removal system makes clean up a breeze
  • Features perfect Clasp door close system, hinged propane tank storage door, Non-Marking industrial casters and electronic ignition

What I like

  • Very small footprint area
  • Large grilling space
  • Allows direct and indirect grilling
  • Unique design
  • Easy assemble

What I don't like

  • The lid has vent holes that water could get inside when it rains unless covered
  • Built-in thermometer isn’t perfectly accurate
  • Only has a single burner

Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared 325 Gas Grill

Char-Broil has been in the grill industry since 1948 and continues to make successful grills. What makes Char-Broil so popular up to this day is mostly due to their affordability. They make impressive grills that any grill junkies can afford and enjoy! Whereas the Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared gas grill is no different. Char-Broil is offering an infrared technology in a barbecue cookout for an affordable price without taking up too much space either.

The Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared is a compact two-burner gas grill. But despite being compact, it’s still understandably quite bigger than the Fuego since it has 2 burners. It measures 46.8 inches wide and 23 inches deep, thus, taking up a total footprint area of 1,076.4. That’s about twice the size of a Fuego, something you should consider if you’re really pressed with limited grilling space. However, the size of this Char-Broil is still relatively small when compared to average grills.

Unfortunately, even with the additional footprint, the Char-Broil is only good enough for a small family and very intimate get-togethers. It offers 325 square inches of cooking area over cast iron grates and an additional 120 square inches of swing-away warming rack. Both the grates and the rack have porcelain coating for better resistance against rust. While this Char-Broil may seem lacking in size when up against the Fuego, what makes it truly attractive is its infrared technology.

Char-Broil features their very own TRU-Infrared cooking technology that offers the same benefits you can get from using an infrared grill over the traditional gas grills and few more. This cooking technology is best known for getting really hot a lot faster and cooks more evenly, despite having low BTU output of 18,000. The infrared cooking system allows the grill to heat up fast and very hot while consuming less fuel than average grills. And since it has a barrier between the food and the flame, you’ll only see flare-ups when pigs fly!

Furthermore, you don’t need to worry over burning your food due to high heat. After all, its 2 burners are highly adjustable with control knobs for each. While cooking delicate food in low temperatures can be quite tricky at first, but achievable once you get the hang of using this grill. Just be mindful of its fast cooking speed.

When it comes to taste, Char-Broil TRU-infrared gas grill cooks food by radiating heat from the emitter plate directly to the food. So instead of relying on hot air to transfer heat to food as convection grills do, cooking with this circulates less air which allows food to retain more moisture and flavor. And if you want to go an extra mile with your cooking, you can even add a wood chip directly on its cooking grate for that smoky taste. You’ll enjoy juicier and savory meat in every bite!

Best of all, you won’t have any problem grilling during the winter season. Colder air temperature will have no effect on getting a good grilling temperature as the heat is transferred directly to the food. With that said, you can even grill with it without closing the lid. This way, you can even minimize the risk of getting its lid rusty from always exposing it to high heat.

Let’s be realistic here, you can’t expect this grill to be rust-proof! To be able to introduce this grill with a dominating stainless steel design at a low price, it’s no surprise for Char-Broil to do some compromising. As a result, they had to downgrade the quality of its stainless, so proper caring is still essential to prevent fast deterioration. Nevertheless, the Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared looks stunning and durable enough to last for several seasons.

And since the Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared grill stays true to the traditional look of a gas grill, you also get side tables that were missing from Fuego. Its side shelves are even foldable to offer plenty of workspaces while keeping it compact for storage. You also get a one-door cabinet for storing your grilling tools and fit a 20-lb propane tank. While mobility is also a breeze with its 4 casters with 2 lockable wheels for stability. You’ll be confident that this grill won’t run away as you grill. Lastly, it also has its own Surefire electronic ignition system for a quick startup on every cookout.

Aside from its infrared cooking system, it also has Dual Fuel feature that lets you use it as a propane grill or convert it to a natural gas grill. You’ll have to buy its conversion kit separately though. But if you already have a natural gas pipeline installed in your house, you can easily add this to your appliances. And even if you don’t, it’s pretty easy to request for an installation so you can also enjoy the many benefits of natural gas!

The Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared gas grill is one of the best small gas grills as it is affordable, has solid cooking chops and small footprint that won’t get in your way. It is ideal for those who are just starting a family and caters to intimate occasions. And without exceeding a $300 budget, you can already own an infrared cooking machine with this Char-Broil! So it’s definitely an awesome deal hard to miss out on. However, if you still prefer a convective gas grill similar to this, the Char-Broil Performance 300 is its best alternative.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Char-Broil Signature TRU-Infrared Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

Dyna-Glo DGB390SNP-D Smart Space Living 3-Burner Gas Grill

Dyna-Glo brings another innovative grill for those who don’t have the luxury of space and budget for a full-sized gas grill but crave for the full-sized grilling! I’m talking about the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living. The name alone already tells you that it’s perfect for urban living.

Out of the 3, the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living is the biggest. With width and depth measuring to 49.6 inches and 23 inches, respectively, it gives you a total of 1,140.8 footprint area. While it does seem to be the biggest at face value, its difference from the Char-Broil is fairly little considering you’re already getting a full-ass grill with 3 massive burners! You get to enjoy the full barbecue experience for a small price to pay.

There’s nothing extraordinary with its design, but it looks neat and works well for everyone because it looks just like most gas grills we’re already familiar with. Therefore, there’s no adjustment needed on your part and makes it pretty easy for us to use. After all, the Dyan-Glo Smart Space Living is a basic, no-nonsense gas grill so it saves space and does a competent job at grilling your food wonderfully. It also has a reasonable price tag which makes it all the more worth it.

It also has a large total cooking area of 507 square inches. This allows you to grill as much as 12 quarter pounder on its 390 square inches of grilling space at the same time. You can also start heating the buns on its 117-square inches of raised warming rack. It can well satisfy food cravings for small to medium size family without a sweat!

When it comes to actual grilling, the Dyna-Glo houses the three powerful burners in a porcelain-enameled steel firebox. Each commercial grade stainless steel tubular burner produces an output of 12,000 BTUs for a total of 36,000 BTUs when all burners set in high. It’s more than enough to efficiently fire the grill really hot and fast. It even has steel heat tents with porcelain coating that protects the burners, distribute heat more evenly to its grilling surface and add flavor. In which, these heat tents manage to catch food drippings that will vaporize back and coat the food to add flavor.

Its Cooking grates are also made of porcelain-coated cast-iron, which generally sears meats better and keeps grilling temperatures more consistent. The porcelain coating usually makes such grates easier to clean than other surfaces and provides resistance against rust. Its side tables are made of powder-coated steel which is quite durable and strong enough to hold 25 pounds on each side. These side tables offer great convenience in our cooking by providing additional workspace for resting plates and containers.  They even have tool hooks on the side to make everything we need within our reach. And just like the Char-Broil, the side tables can also fold down to free up space.

And of course, a full barbecue experience won’t be complete without the grill’s electronic pulse ignition system and temperature gauge. The grill lights automatically with just a push of a button for a quick and hassle-free start-up. While the gauge helps you monitor the right temperature for your food to cook properly and achieve its desired taste, texture and aroma. You can even up its game by buying a rotisserie kit from the same manufacturing brand for some roasting treat!

The only sad part about this grill is that even with the stainless steel variant, the grill is still prone to rust. First of all, not all of its parts are stainless steel. And similar to Char-Broil’s case, they had to use a lower grade of stainless steel to cut their cost and offer it at a lower price. Hence, you gotta be meticulous with it to keep it in tip-top shape!

There’s a removable tray with a removable cup that catches grease to ease you with cleaning. With that said, make sure to clean it every after use, put a cover before storing and place it with a roof to protect it from the elements and rain. Securing replacement parts is far from ideal too, so as they say, prevention is better than cure. Nevertheless, the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living could last for a fulfilling 3 years, more or less.

The Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living offers the most flexibility in a small package and affordable price, marking it as one of the best small gas grills.  It does an awesome job at retaining heat and grilling meat that you’ll surely be satisfied with its performance. Throwing small get-togethers with your friends and family becomes an easy feat with this Dyna-Glo. And I believe that with proper care, this will serve you for years. As long as you have the space for this, the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living brings you the full experience of using a traditional-sized gas grill in a smaller package.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living’s Sizzling Features

  • 390 sq. in. of primary cooking space with 117 sq. in. of warming rack for a total of 507 sq in of cooking space.

Lastly, Dyna-Glo Space Saving lets you have more control over your cooking with its 3 powerful burners in a compact size.

Whatever you choose, I am pretty sure you will have a grand time enjoying grilling with those closest to your heart. Hopefully, the best small gas grills will help you make the right choice which suits your brand preference, use, features and, of course, price affordability. Happy grilling!

The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Coleman RoadTrip Propane Portable Grill LXX

When it comes to camping and outdoor gears, you can’t go wrong with Coleman. Coleman takes pride as an American brand with over a century of experience on outdoor recreational products. So they’re not kidding when they say they are the outdoor experts! And true enough, this brand has been in the market for a long time that it clearly sets a high reputation for creating quality outdoor products, including grills.

Wherein you can find that same quality in Coleman’s RoadTrip series as their hopefuls for the best portable gas grills. Having any of the RoadTrip models will surely make your road trip enjoyable. Honestly, you can either go for the LXE or LXX. While the LXE is a fan favorite as the best gas grills of this category, the LXX is actually the top variant of the RoadTrip line with only slight price difference. So between the two, we’re putting the spotlight on LXX this time.

Although the LXE has colorful variants, the Coleman RoadTrip LXX looks masculine sporting an all black with few bare metal finishes. Since it’s made to be portable, it is easy to transport and assemble. Assembling this thing is really simple that even with 10 minutes is enough to do so.

To assemble, simply take it out of the box, unfold the legs then snap it into the cookbox, and put the plastic hubcaps on wheels. Finish it up by screwing a fuel source into its rear then put the griddle in place. And there you have it, you’re ready to grill on the RoadTrip LXX. It’s easy as ABC!

What makes the RoadTrip superior to others is due to its brilliant design. It works much like a stand-alone grill but still very mobile. It comes with collapsible legs that allow you to use it just like a full standing grill. Unlike the usual portable or tabletop type of grills, there’s no need to look for a level surface to place it on. It even has a sliding stainless steel side tables for additional working space for handling your tools, ingredients and etc.

Once you’re done with cooking, you can fold its legs to make it work like a push-pull trolley! You won’t even need to carry it from one place to another. One of the leg-supports becomes the pull handle when collapsed. With a large handle and wheels make it easy to pull and add ease of transport. You can effortlessly collapse and set it up again in no time. It’s so simple that it works seamlessly perfect.

To protect the grill from the elements, you won’t have any problem storing it in your garage or home since it doesn’t take up too much space at all. It folds compactly that it can even fit inside your car’s trunk and weighs averagely at 50 pounds.

When it comes to the actual grilling, you’ll be very happy to tag this along with your outdoor adventure! Despite the compact package, you won’t even feel there’s a drop of heat with the RoadTrip from the usual bigger grills. And since the LXX is the top variant, it has the highest heat capacity among the RoadTrip line.

It comes with dual burners firing at 11,000 BTU’s of cooking power. That gives you a total of 22,000 BTU’s across a spacious 285 square inches of cooking area. That is more than enough heat to fire up the grill really hot! In fact, it’s even rare to see a portable gas grill with such high firepower. While the cooking size can feed 3-4 persons without breaking a sweat. Each burner even has a low to high settings for your precise cooking.

As one of the best portable gas grills, LXX will never let your grilling experience compromised. That’s because it has the capacity to work just as good as traditional grills. It has the needed heat intensity with sufficient grilling size to cover your intimate group. Furthermore, you still get the same perks of side tables, tool hooks, thermometer and matchless lighting! The LXX has instastart push-button ignition which is very helpful in the outdoors.

But it still doesn’t stop there! The LXX offers little extras to set itself apart with its unique Swaptop interchangeable design. This enables you to switch your grill grates for a griddle top or stove grates, so you have various options for cooking! However, you have to buy these accessories separately. While its PerfectFlow technology ensures steady heat, even in the cold of the night or in extreme weather conditions.

Not fond of cleaning? Not an issue. The RoadTrip LXX has a grease tray to help lessen the oily mess while grilling. It’s also removable so it’s easy to dispose the grease and clean the tray. On the other hand, its cooking surface is porcelain-coated, which makes it easier to clean as well. All you need is a quick wipe with a dish sponge, warm water, and detergent for a fast and proper cleaning.

The only issue you might have with the RoadTrip line is its inability to separate the grill from its wheel stand while grilling. To avoid any fire hazards, it’s better to not attempt doing so at all. So if in case you can’t accommodate an extra footprint for a grill, opting for a tabletop gas grill might better suit you instead.

Nevertheless, the Coleman RoadTrip LXX looks extra sleek and indeed a powerful gas grill despite its portable design. Its performance can parallel to standard grills, making it one of the best gas grills under $200 as well. With the LXX, you won’t even feel like you left home while having a barbecue in the wild!

Here’s a Quick Recap of Coleman RoadTrip LXX Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • Collapsible design is easy to transport and fits into most car trunks

  • Instastart button ignites grill without the need for a match or lighter

What I like

  • Large grilling space
  • Has high heat output
  • Free-standing grill
  • Collapsible with easy pull design for easy transport
  • Unique interchangeable cook tops

What I don't like

  • Legs cannot be separated from its cooktop

Weber Q2200 Liquid Propane Grill

While Weber may not be the outdoor expert, it’s definitely a grill expert! It already has established itself as a household brand among grills, so it’s no surprise to see a Weber as a contender for the best portable gas grills.

For this market, Weber offers the Weber Q lineup. Among the Weber Q models, I find the Q2200 to be the most ideal even though the Q3200 is its top variant. Because unlike the Q3200 and the RoadTrip grills, the Q2200 now gives you the option to use it as either a tabletop or stand-alone gas grill.

But let me just make it clear, the Q2200 only comes with the cookbox. You need to buy its leg stand separately, or buy them as a combo package to save more. The stand, by the way, also has wheels for mobility. As a package, you can buy the simpler cart as a cheaper option. But I prefer the Q cart with wide-splayed legs as it’s more heavy-duty and made to fit the newer Q2000 Weber models.

Despite the additional cost of the accessory, I still highly recommend it. Having a leg support for the grill allows flexibility in your barbecue needs and make it easier to transport. You can save up space, maximize its portability or even use it as a fixed install at home.

And for lazybones like me, Weber is such a treat! Since this product arrives pre-assembled, you don’t have to go through the hassles of assembling. Instead, you can just go right into the exciting part – grilling!

Weber simply sizzles its way into your heart without fail. Its overall size itself is compact, but it has a large grilling surface of 280 square inches. Heating the stainless steel burner up to 12,000 BTU’s, it can accommodate 18 hamburgers, 36 hotdogs, or 2 whole chickens!

Personally, the heat capacity is quite low to efficiently distribute heat to its size. Nevertheless, you still shouldn’t underestimate its cooking performance. Its single burner is huge to cover the whole thing, so heating it to about 300 degrees is pretty easy. While reaching it to more than 500 degrees may take some time but still manageable. Just make sure to close the lid and preheat the grill for 10-15 minutes.

On the upside, the Weber Q2200 doesn’t gulp in fuel too quickly, which is advantageous when you’re far from supply stores. To give you a quick picture, one pound (16.4oz) canister can approximately hold 21,600 BTU’s worth of gas. Given the 12,000 BTU output of Q2200, this will give you a maximum of 1.8 hours of grilling time with the single burner set to high.

However, how long a 1lb gas will actually last will still depend on how you use it, what you’re cooking and the temperature of your location. All which can affect your cooking time. To be safe, make sure to always have a spare tank with you.

In the end, you still get to perfectly sear your burgers and steaks with juices and flavors sealed in. Moreover, Weber Q2200’s lid is tall enough to accommodate smaller chickens and birds. You can have a wonderful Thanksgiving even with just this around.

I even tried cooking my favorite chicken recipe with it for about 15 minutes, set on high. The result was fantastic! It came out perfectly juicy with a slight crispiness on the edges. Even my wife found it really delicious that she’s willing to let go of her diet that day.

Weber Q2200 houses porcelain-enameled cast iron grates, which are just perfect to cook meat on. The porcelain coating adds resistance against rust and makes it easy to clean as well. While its lid and body use cast aluminum for durability since aluminum is a resilient material. It’s tough against cold weather, resists corrosion and has high thermal conductivity. This helps speed up heating the grill, especially with a closed lid, compensating for its lack of firepower.

Weber Q2200 also has switchable grilling grates. And since there are two grilling grates, you can get creative with your cooking. You can replace the other one with a griddle to use it as a griddle and grate combination. This adds extra flexibility to your cooking. But similar to RoadTrip’s Swaptop, you have to buy the griddle separately.

Much like the standard nowadays, the Q2200 also has an ignition system for a reliable spark, a temperature gauge to monitor grill’s heat level, and an infinite burner control settings for accuracy. You can also find a grease catcher at the bottom to keep drippings and any droppings easy to clean. And with such small package, Weber still manages to include side tables. They are about 12 inches wide and are foldable when not in use.

If there’s one thing I don’t like with this Weber Q, that’ll the absence of Flavorizer bars! Weber is widely popular for its Flavorizer bars which give that savory taste of bacon to its grilled foods. Unfortunately, due to its smaller package, it’s quite understandable that Weber chooses not to include it.

On the other hand, due to its highly engineered cooking grate on a curvilinear burner tube design manages flare-ups and add flavor even without the Flavorizer bars.

Slightly lighter than the RoadTrip at around 45 pounds, the Weber Q2200 is an excellent option for the best portable gas grills for under 300 bucks. You’ll love its flexibility, ease of use and cooking prowess. Let us not forget that Weber is an American company! So, who can question its superb marksmanship? This grill is built to last with its heavy-duty cast aluminum.

Frequent outdoor trips won’t stop you from enjoying your personal grilled foods from fish to dozens of burgers and hotdogs for many years to come!

Here’s a Quick Recap of Weber Q2200 Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • One stainless steel burner produces 12,000 BTU-per-hour to heat 280 square inches of total cooking area
  • Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates and cast aluminum lid and body.
  • Fully assembled out of box
  • Has temperature gauge, foldable side tables, easy-start electronic ignition and infinite control burner valve settings
  • Uses disposable 14.1 or 16.4 oz. LP cylinder (sold separately)

What I like

  • Quality marksmanship
  • Large grilling surface
  • Can work as tabletop or freestanding grill
  • Low fuel consumption
  • Switchable grate or griddle surface

What I don't like

  • A bit underpowered for the size
  • Has plastic parts on tables and handle
  • The lid doesn’t have a lock to keep it closed while carrying it

Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Portable Gas Grill with VersaStand

Last on our list is from a trusted name in the kitchen, the Cuisinart! Cuisinart has produced countless of successful home appliances, mostly related to food appliances. So we can also be confident that it can do an amazing job in cooking even outside the kitchen room. With that, Cusinart offers their CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Grill.

Let’s face it, out of all the best portable gas grills on the list, Cuisinart Petit Gourmet Grill has the least cooking chops. For one, it only has 145 square inches of grilling surface. While the size is comparably smaller than the first 2 grills, it is still pretty decent but better suited for intimate barbecue outing.

It’s also lacking a bit in power with its 5,500 BTU stainless steel burner. Due to smaller cooking space, it could get away with lower BTU. But honestly, I would love it more if it could have a higher heat output to effectively distribute heat fast. Nonetheless, it can still get really hot for about 10 – 15 minutes preheat time on high, which is hot enough to warm up the cast iron.

You might not be able to sear like a pro, but your foods will still cook deliciously in a reasonable amount of time for sure! On the other hand, I like how its grates have porcelain enamel to help resist rust and distribute heat evenly. In addition, it’s also nonstick so none of your food gets stuck and it’s easy to clean.

Now the real selling point of Cuisinart Petit Gourmet is its portable design. Everything about Cuisinart screams portability.

As its name implies, Petit Gourmet comes in small package. It’s ultimately convenient to bring it anywhere and store it easily. It won’t even take too much space from kitchen countertop. So it’s not only perfect for outdoor trips but also suitable for intimate families who only have small decks, patios or balcony.

Although the grill is compact,  its cooking grate is still large enough to accommodate 8 steaks, 8 burgers, 6 to 10 chicken breasts, or over 4 pounds of fish at a time. And due to its size, the fire is close to its cooking surface which helps heat it up much quicker despite the lower heat output capacity. It also uses far less gas than a full-sized grill.

Despite having a heavy cast-iron grill grate, it’s pretty lightweight at 17 pounds. You definitely won’t have a problem bringing it with you. Furthermore, its briefcase-style handle makes it even easier to hand-carry it around!

And similar to Weber, the Cuisinart Petit Gourmet has its own unique design which allows you to use it as a tabletop or freestanding grill. I highly recommend you to buy it with a VeraStand since the differential cost won’t set you back a lot. On the contrary, it works like a charm for the additional flexibility and ease of transport.

The VeraStand has integrated adjustable telescoping base that quickly transforms from table use to floor stand use! It even takes just seconds to set the stand up or pack it away. Hence, you can enjoy awesome grilled flavor anytime and anywhere with great convenience.

Cuisinart also includes a drip pan under the grill to help ease cleaning and prevent flare-ups. Likewise, its gas control knob features a twist-start ignition for a fast and convenient way of lighting the grill. And with its hassle-free assembly, one person can set it up without worries.

When you’re done with grilling, simply shut the burners off, then wait for 10 minutes to cool off before closing its lid and bringing it home. Storing and transporting is really simple. And since it’s petite, it doesn’t take up too much room and will easily fit into your car’s trunk.

The problem of having a small grill though means having a small drip pan as well! Cuisinart’s drip pan has a very small capacity to catch drippings. Hence, it quickly fills up with grease which may expose it from catching fire.

A quick way to solve this is by removing the tray and replace it with a bigger pan and put it under the grill. The pan will reduce the mess from any grease which dripped through the ventilation holes.

For just under $125, you can nab the Cuisinart Petit Gourmet with a VeraStand. But if you really want to save up, you can opt to just buy it without a stand for less than hundred bucks. Either way, it works amazingly well and highly portable for an affordable price, making it even more attractive. Not only is it light to carry with you, but also light on your wallet.

It would also be wise to buy its carrying case. Since the drip pan in the back has a tendency to fall out and its legs to slide out when carrying it upright by the handle. The case helps prevent these from happening and also provides protection from the elements when not in use.  Buying it as a package will only set you back for an extra of 10 bucks.

The Petit Gourmet may be small, but it’s big on functionality. It cooks well and easy to carry wherever you go. Be it on the beach, the RV, the campsite and tailgating, you can practically take it anywhere with you!

Here’s a Quick Recap of Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet’s Sizzling Features

  • Portable gas grill with 145-square-inch grilling area and telescoping stand
  • Reliable 5,500 BTU stainless-steel burner and even-heating porcelain-enameled grate
  • VeraStand sets up and packs away in seconds
  • Has integrated lid lock keeps lid secure
  • Weighs 17 pounds with briefcase-style handle makes it easy to carry
  • Unique design that allows you to use the grill as a freestanding or tabletop grill

What I like

  • Small footprint
  • Lightweight makes it highly portable
  • Can work as either tabletop or freestanding grill
  • Low fuel consumption

What I don't like

  • Underpowered burner for the size
  • Small drip pan
  • Has plastic parts

The Round-Up

There you have it, my friends. Hopefully, you can find your outdoor barbecue needs among the top 3 picks for the best portable gas grills!

Coleman RoadTrip LXX is the hottest portable gas grill, literally! Its 2 burners able to produce the most heat output among the 3, allowing it to have the best ability to sear steak very well. Its cooking capabilities can parallel to those bigger, full-sized grills! It’s also easy to transport and use since it’s easy to collapse and set it up again. One of the legs even becomes a handle for easy pulling.

Weber Q2200 offers flexibility, convenience, and quality in your cooking. It even comes pre-assembled so you don’t have to hassle your way of putting the pieces together. With its name at stake, you can definitely trust its marksmanship!

When we talk of portability and smallest footprint alone, the Cuisinart Petit Gourmet tops the score! A small but terrible grill with reliable cooking capabilities anywhere you go. It’s definitely a modern Cuisine of art!

Whichever you choose can surely meet your needs and provides real value for your money. Wherever you are, you won’t have to miss out on an epic barbecue experience! The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Weber Genesis II E-410 Liquid Propane Grill

Truth be told, for the past years, whenever someone asks me what grill is worth buying for a thousand bucks, the Weber Genesis S-330 always comes top of my mind. However, Weber finally made a revamp of their Genesis line in 2017, which is good in a sense. But this also made the upgraded version of S-330,  called the Weber Genesis II LX S-340 Grill, now hundreds of dollars over our budget. Still, if you can spare more cash, the Weber Genesis II LX S-340 makes for a valuable investment. It has a good balance for features, cooking space, quality and heat power for a fair price.

Nevertheless, having a thousand dollar budget can already get you far. Starting with the Weber Genesis II E-410, you’ll have an option for a liquid propane or natural gas fueled grill for about the same price. Although natural gas-powered machines are, most of the time, more expensive than its LP counterpart, this is not the case for this unit. Price will no longer be a holding factor for you to finally join the bandwagon for a greener barbecue lifestyle!

The Weber Genesis II E-410 is a powerhouse to beat in this category. For one, it has the Genesis bloodline, so you have the assurance of a better quality construction and a higher grade of steel than average grills and even Weber’s very own Spirit. It weighs heavy at 189 pounds. But you won’t have a problem moving it due to its 4 gliding casters with 2 lockable wheels to stay it in place. While it’s not completely made of stainless steel, you can feel it has solid, thick metal parts that won’t come apart easily even if you try shaking it. And despite its open-cart design, it won’t topple over easily as well.

But to be frank, an open-cart design at this price point is not something I’m very fond of. And yet, Weber seems to be heading toward this trend for 2018, which is evident in their newly facelifted Spirit line as well. Nonetheless, whether you like this style or not is pretty much subjective and will depend on your taste. Still, there are certainly a few perks that you can benefit from this design.

For one thing, you get more room for your grilling tools since the propane tank now goes to the side. At the same time, you now have quicker access to your tools and grease tray. Paired with its enhanced grease management system, cleaning this thing will totally be hassle-free!

You see, most of us, including myself, love to cook but hate to clean. But one thing I hate more is a messy griller as it can also deteriorate the life expectancy of the grill faster. This is where the grease management system becomes a huge help! All the grease and extra drippings are funneled down to a disposable tray. So there won’t be any messy spills all over the place and even help reduce flare-ups.

Another good thing is its cooking grates. They are made of porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast-iron. This combination of materials does not only help resist rust and provide superb heating abilities, they also make the grates easier to clean. You can simply wash it with dishwashing soap and warm water, then it’s squeaky clean. Lesser efforts, No sweat!

The Weber Genesis II E-410 is really more than just a grill, it’s an experience that brings you, your loved ones and even neighbors together through and through. With its massive 646 square inches of cooking surface and 198 square inches of warming rack overhead, serving up to 10 persons is such a breeze. You can then tuck-away the warming rack when not in use.

Its 4 stainless steel burners have individual knobs and electronic igniter that can fire up to 48,000 BTUs. The heat output is more than enough to cover the grill but may require 12-15 minutes preheat time to get it going. While the individual knobs make it easy to control desired heat settings and variate the temperatures needed to grill different kinds of meat at the same time. Hence, you can cook your food just the way you want and satisfy all of your guests’ cravings right on the spot.

Weber has become a household name in grilling for a reason and why I dubbed it as one the best gas grills under 1000 dollars. They have unique touches to their grills that others try to imitate but never get close to how good Weber does it. As you already know, their very own Flavorizer bar is still top-notch in giving that extra savory and oomph taste to your meat!

Next, you have reversible cooking grates. The thin side of the grate is perfect for delicate food like veggies and seafood. On the other side, you have wider grates that can create thick and professionally looking sear marks. Not only will they look more enticing, it will further enhance the flavor of your food.

Lastly, you can install the iGrill3 accessory to the Genesis II grills. With our smartphones part of our daily lives, Weber has taken advantage of technology to make grilling even more convenient. You can now monitor your grill’s real-time temperature and fuel tank level right at your phone. You just have to buy the accessory and download the app.

But even without the iGrill3, you can still monitor the level of your fuel with its own fuel gauge! Gone are the days when I had to leave my steak half-cooked because I ran out of gas. This machine’s fuel gauge keeps me in check of the fuel status all the time. When the gas gauge hits 25% level,  I always make sure to have a refill readily available.

At first, its price may be a little steep at below $900. But then again, you can clearly tell you can’t go wrong with this Weber. With its excellent materials and workmanship, it promises to stay for long years, not just a few grilling seasons. You don’t have to be a math expert to know that its high price is well worth it since it’s offset by its durability. The costs become lesser as it is spread over its useful life. With the Genesis II E-410 at your side, you deservingly owns the title of a grill master for a long time, ready to satisfy yours and a lot of your guests’ gastronomic hunger!

It fires up 29,000 BTUs across 380 square inches of cooking area with 114 square inches of tuck-away warming rack. And in exchange of extra cooking space, you get a 12,000 BTU side burner instead.

Napoleon Rogue 425

With Weber having a stronghold in the grill industry, nothing can face head-on with it but none other than a great conqueror in the grilling scene as well — the Napoleon! The Napoleon brand is undeniably another grill giant that offers quite a prestige to its owner. For starters, you’ll hardly find full-size Napoleon gas grills under 500 dollars. So owning one sure feels like a privilege.

Now, what can you nab among the Napoleon lineup for just under $1000? The best answer to that points to the Napoleon Rogue 425! Although its natural gas variant will set you back for an additional average of 60 bucks, its propane model is quite the same price with the Genesis II E-410. So with the same price point, which one will give you the best value for your money? Well, that’s a tricky question. They have pros and cons over each other. In the end, the best answer to that all depends on you and your preferences. But before you arrive at your conclusion, allow me to tell you what makes this Napoleon rules!

Right off the bat, the Napoleon Rogue looks premium with its chiseled, slim body with stainless steel suit. At just a glance, you can already tell this grill ain’t cheap. With a full-sized grill, Napoleon didn’t compromise craftsmanship for the price. From lid, grates to burners, every essential part are high quality and a work of stainless steel art. Having this on your backyard makes it a quick conversation starter. You’ll never get tired showing this off to your friends and family.

The Rogue houses 3 stainless steel burners that can pump out 45,000 total BTU’s. Its heat output is slightly lower than the Genesis II E-410. But since this machine also has smaller grilling surface, as a result, the Rogue fires up way faster and more efficiently for its size! You’ll surely take pleasure on how hot it can get and how quickly it heats up. It can literally get hot for just under 2 minutes to a maximum of 700 degrees with all burners cranked all the way up. While maintaining it at 500-600 degrees is also easy on low settings. You can refer to its ACCU-PROBE™ temperature gauge to help you monitor your grill’s temperature.

While it’s relatively smaller than the Genesis, it still has a generous grilling surface of 425 square inches and an overhead warming rack for your buns. This is still roomy enough for you to grill 12 4-inch burger patties at the same time.

You can pretty much cook all kinds of food with this Napoleon. But you know what, they won’t just taste great, they’ll also look awesome! The Rogue also has its own unique tweaks that make this grill shine further, not just literally. It has unique, stainless steel WAVE rod cooking grids lets you achieve beautiful and more professional looking grill marks to your burgers or steaks. So they will look more appealing to the eyes. As they say, “you eat with your eyes first”.

The Rogue has perfect sparks with the Jetfire Ignition system. The Jetfire ignition sparks faster and lives longer than other conventional grills. While most traditional grills have separate ignition button to start the grill, this one smoothly sparks your grill as you turn the knob. The jet of gas flows directly with the push of the control knobs, which in turn, increases the useful life of the grill by preventing stress on the materials. Hence, your igniter won’t break as easily.  However, this only applies to the knobs for the main burners as the sear side burner still uses an igniter button to start. Nevertheless, this is a great start of improvement that we very much welcome.

Now what makes the Rogue even more attractive attributes to the presence of its infrared side burner! The stainless steel side shelves are pretty slick on its own. It ups the game of its functionality by providing you an additional benefit of an infrared sizzle zone side burner. With Rogue, your side burner is not only there for you to cook your sides or sauces. Its infrared burner now allows you to also cook a single steak or burger on it. It’s even efficient and does an amazing job of grilling. Moreover, it has a lid to provide protection to its inner mechanics against the elements.

An additional convenience for you, the side shelves have integrated tool hooks and condiment rack, which is movable to either side. This makes your tools and grill essentials within an arm’s reach. Lastly, its side shelves are foldable and removable! So it can perfectly fit your life and lifestyle. The Napoleon Rogue comes in a compact package that packs quite the punch!

While it doesn’t have a modern take on grilling like the iGrill 3, you’ll appreciate it instead for its versatility. You can buy a rotisserie kit for this machine and have your way to an awesome Thanksgiving. Or, you can also buy a charcoal tray to convert this to a hybrid of a charcoal grill, and achieve that authentic smoky taste. But even without the charcoal tray, the Rogue has dual level sear plates that work similar to Weber’s Flavorizer bars. Any meat juice or grease that fall on the sear plates will instantly vaporize back to your food to add flavor. This also helps prevent flare-ups.

With the looks and versatility of Napoleon Rogue, you won’t ever feel you’re short-changed. The Napoleon Rogue 425 is also an excellent, durable grill that offers more functionality that we seek from expensive grills for a great value of money. Hence, it may as well fit the title for the best gas grills under 1000 dollars. Napoleon Rogue has versatility and state of the art workmanship at an affordable cost that can give you the pride to try NAPOLEON over other leading brands. So if you’re tired with the usual and want to stand out, go Rogue!

Broil King Regal S-440 Pro

Entering the competition is from the grill royalty, the Broil King! Broil King has been in the business of grill manufacturing for over two decades. Probably the youngest to join the grill market among the three, but has already proven its worth. In addition, their gas grills are manufactured in North America, so they are also proudly American made!

Based on our $1000 budget, it was hard for me to decide between Broil King Baron S590 and Regal S-440 Pro. While Broil King’s Baron series have more features to boot at a lower price, its Regal series have a higher quality construction that can no doubt rival the two. Its solid construction can make up for the absence of a rotisserie burner which you can find in the Baron. Hence, I find the Broil King Regal S-440 Pro to be a much worthier contender that can last for many years. The question now is, can Broil King Regal reign over the game of throne for the best gas grills under 1000 dollars? Let’s find out!

While I personally find the Napoleon to be sleeker looking, the Broil King Regal is still pretty dashing with its stainless steel exterior. Its cookbox, housing, burners, grids to its cooking system uses durable, high-grade stainless steel. These components ensure longevity, excellent heat retention, resistance to rust and easy to clean. Broil King workmanship not only promises superb quality but also functional design.

For one thing, its side shelves are also foldable like the Napoleon to save space. But Regal’s side tables have cast aluminum condiment bins attached on the front. Honestly, this is way more convenient to spice up your meat than getting the condiments on the side. It also has a 4 caster for mobility, but the Regal has durable resin leg levelers on the front base. This ensures your grill to never have uneven footing and will always stand firmly on the ground.

Replacing your propane tank becomes much easier and more accessible due to its pull-out tank drawer design. Furthermore, its control knobs illuminate not just for artistic value but help you to locate the knobs, especially on a barbecue night out!

The Regal S-440 Pro comes with 4 stainless steel Dual-Tube™ burners that heat up quickly and evenly. They can pump out 50,000 BTUs of heat output, which is more than enough to efficiently cover its 500 square inches of grilling space. The size is pretty large, coming in between the Napoleon and Weber. You can fit about 14 burgers at the same time, keeping the queue for food short and guests happily satisfied.

While its cooking process looks ordinary in the surface, the Regal actually shines in this department. Broil King has unique features as the proud patent-holder of Dual-Tube™ stainless steel burners and Linear-Flow™ control valves technology. This further proves Broil King’s worth to be the best gas grills under 1000 dollars. What makes these features stand out is the ability of Dual-Tube burners to equalize the heat from front to back. Unlike standard tubular burners, they tend to have higher gas pressure in the front of the burner so they often result to uneven heating.

On the other hand, the Linear-Flow valves have 180-degree sensi-touch knobs that provide a spectrum flow of heat levels. Thereby, allowing you to have more precise control on the temperature of the grill from extremely high to very low setting. The control knobs have segmented markings around the backing plate, with the largest segment representing the highest setting. Add to that is Regal’s Sure-Lite push-button ignition system, works for fast and reliable startups.

With the control valves, you can conveniently set your grill to the perfect temperature to how ever you want to cook your food, from searing to slow-cooking. The temperature gauge at the center will help you determine if you’re on the right track. With proper temperature setting, you’ll be confident that the meat will not dry out and retain its juiciness. You can trust the Broil King to deliver great cooking and grilling results at any time!

The Regal S-440 Pro also has a side burner on the left side table under the flush-mounted cover, which is capable of 10,000 BTU output. It’s a little on the low side, to be frank. So cooking on big pots can take quite some time, but not on average skillets or saucepans. Nevertheless, it’s a cool addition to the grill and very helpful for preparing side dishes, soup or sauces fast. You can do multi-cooking tasks that will save you time and energy, which is worth more than just monetary savings for you.

Not wanting to let its competitors get ahead of the game, Broil King makes its own take for adding flavor to your food. Hence, the Regal presents a  stainless steel Flav-R-Wave cooking system, which ensures superior heat distribution and protection for your burners. It also works closely like the Weber’s Flavorizer Bar and Napoleon’s dual level sear plates, since it is responsible for catching and vaporizing drippings. Then it creates smoke for a distinctive barbecue flavor to your food!

Treat yourself to a royal grilling experience and indulge a Broil King Regal. It’s a superior grill that should last you for many years at a great value. But if you’re willing to go a little over the budget, the Regal S490 Pro is also a solid investment. It’s the top of the line model in the Regal series and offers an additional 15,000 BTU rear rotisserie burner. It even includes a premium rotisserie kit. All that for not more than 50 bucks over the budget.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Broil King Regal S-440 Pro’s Sizzling Features

  • 4 stainless steel Dual-Tube™ burners deliver up to 50,000 BTU output; 10,000 BTU Side Burner;
  • 500 sq in primary cooking surface featuring solid stainless steel 9mm rod cooking grids
  • Stainless steel Flav-R-Wave™ cooking system delivers even heat distribution; Linear-Flow™ burner valves allow for precise temperature control; Sure-Lite™ electronic ignition easily ignites the grill
  • Stainless steel side shelves and enclosed cabinet base provide workspace and storage for grilling essentials. Illuminated control knobs create a stylish look and are functional after sunset.
  • Proudly Made in North America – Limited Lifetime Warranty

What I like

  • Stainless steel body provides durability
  • Dual Tube burners ensures even heating
  • Linear Flow valve allows infinite heat
  • Space-saving with generous cooking space

What I don't like

  • Side burner is a bit under-powered but still appreciated

Whenever we think of shopping for a new gas grill, we almost always look for the top propane gas grills. But what about the best natural gas grills? Natural gas grills are becoming popular nowadays that you seriously should consider getting one for yourself as well.

So what’s the difference between the two? It pretty much boils down to how gas is supplied to the grill. Propane gas grills require replacement of gas tanks once they’re empty. On the other hand, you need to install natural gas pipelines first in your home before you can actually use a natural gas grill.

While on the surface, it may be much easier to just buy a liquid propane gas grill for its hassle-free requirements and flexibility. Natural gas grill tends to keep your gas grill always in one place due to its gas connections. Yet, there are still a number of reasons why people would opt for natural gas grills.

First of all, once you install the gas pipelines in your home, you won’t ever have to worry about running out of fuel every time you have a barbecue. Natural gas also burns more cleanly and contains fewer contaminants than propane gas. This, in turn, doesn’t hurt the environment as much, and won’t hurt you, your family, or your food! And the icing on the cake is that natural gas is a lot cheaper than propane gas!

In the end, there are just so many benefits and advantages of natural gas that using it as a fuel makes for a winner choice. I won’t list all the benefits here since I already have thoroughly discussed them in a separate article. So this time, my focus here is finding the best natural gas grills for your needs!

And now without further ado, let’s get on with the list of the best natural gas grills, shall we?!

The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill

Don’t mind the pun, but the Weber Spirit E310 perfectly captures the spirit of a simple and straightforward natural gas grill. While the Spirit E310 sure only has the basic functions of a gas grill, you should never underestimate this thing! After all, it’s a Weber, which just so happens to be a known maker of quality grills.

Plus, its propane counterpart is also a big hit among grill users, including me. It continues to be one of my top choices when it comes to finding the best gas grills. Because with Spirit E310, you can get all the essentials of a grill that is built to last for a fair price.

This natural gas grill measures in at 63 by 52 by 32 inches which will easily fit almost anywhere with its semi-compact frame. Hence, it’s very fitting for small to medium homes or apartment-dwellers! But despite its quite compact frame, the Spirit E310 has enough cooking capacity to boast.

It has a  total of 529 square inches of cooking area, while 424 square inches of that allot for your main grilling action. Its size is suitable for feeding small to medium families, or small crowds in parties. Moreover, it’s enough to fit a 20-pound turkey or grill 15 burger patties in one go! While you can also heat up the buns or keep your cooked meat stay warm by placing them on its 105 square inches of warming rack. Suffice to say, no one will feel too hungry before they can get to their next rounds of meat.

But what use of having a large cooking surface when your grill doesn’t have enough firepower to heat the whole area. Needless to say, the Spirit E310 has efficient power to do the job since it’s packed with 3 powerful burners that produce 32,000 BTUs of heat! However, few people have noted having to wait a bit longer for the grates to get really hot for searing. Nevertheless, it ensures nice and even cooking for almost anything you need. And it can still achieve deep sears with beautiful marks we’ve always wanted.

One thing I’ve always highlighted and admired Weber for is due to their Flavorizer bars. These porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars are the unique edge of Weber gas grills. Wherein they catch meat juice drippings then vaporize them back, coating the food you grill. This, in turn, will improve the taste of your meal by infusing smoky flavored goodness! Need I say more?!

The Spirit line is actually the starter pack of a Weber. With that said, its build quality is slightly inferior to its higher-priced brothers like Genesis. Nevertheless, it still has above average construction that can outlast the others. The body of Weber Spirit E310 has a mixture of coated steel and stainless steel materials.

While the insides have solid built, starting with its stainless steel burners. Then, its cooking grates are composed of porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. These 3 work together to provide durability, efficient heat distribution and retention.

The cookbox of this gas grill is made of cast aluminum which will require low maintenance. It can also withstand any heat needed to grill your dishes to perfection. This combined with the shroud, creates an ideal cooking environment which is balanced and properly circulated even if you use direct or indirect heat. There’s also a nice fuel gauge which you can easily monitor to know where you stand with your fuel.

Don’t be fooled by the basic looks of the Spirit E310, it’s definitely still packed with all the handy extra features that every competitive gas grill on the market has. First, you’ve got stainless steel side tables with integrated tool hooks.

Not only do you have an area to organize your dishes and sauces, but you also have handy racks for hanging all the utensils you’ll be using. So everything you need will literally be at arm’s length. While the stainless steel tables make it easier to clean off dirt and spills. It’s also worth noting that the E310 comes with a 10-foot flexible hose for easy hook-up!

Grease management is also quite well handled with the Spirit E310. The grease that doesn’t vaporize and infuse into your meat is handled by the grease management system which consists of an angled grease tray and catch pan. Once filled, simply remove it from the cabinet, throw away the grease, and keep on grilling!

With a friendly price tag of under 500 bucks and toned features, this grill is bound to look great in all kinds of settings! Moreover, out of all the available Weber gas grills, the Spirit E310 is the most affordable and value for money. It has all the bare essentials covered while being able to serve a crowd. Hence, you get to enjoy the ultimate barbecue experience with more people. After all, barbecues taste better when shared with your loved ones.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Weber Spirit E-310 Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

Weber Genesis II LX S-340 Natural Gas Grill

What else can better compete with Weber Spirit for our list of the best natural gas grill but none other than a Weber Genesis! Taking a notch higher, you’ll take delight in Weber Genesis II LX S-340’s heavyweight features.

There’s definitely something about the Genesis II LX S-340 that screams the outdoors. Just looking at it will instantly take you to the 4th of July and grilling to your heart’s content. It’s not hard to feel like a total barbecue pro when you use this stunning gas grill.

The “S” in the Weber Genesis II LX S-340 actually stands for stainless steel. This means that about all of its body and parts are made of stainless steel materials or have a stainless finish. While the stainless variant could set you back an extra hundred bucks, I feel it’s totally worth it and your investment could go a long way. Not only is it more durable, it also has better resistance to rust and the elements. Thereby giving you more grilling seasons to enjoy!

Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean that the Genesis II LX E-340 ain’t tough! In fact, it’s still far superior than other non-stainless steel gas grills. While its exterior surface is made of porcelain-enameled steel that can withstand usual wear and tears.

While you can find both of their cooking grates to be of stainless steel. And the same goes for the Flavorizer bars which makes them even hotter! Both for cooking and as an expression.

The Genesis II LX 340 has a primary cooking area of 513 square inches which is quite larger than the Spirit. This provides an extra capacity to grill for 2 more empty stomachs! Furthermore, it also comes with a very handy 156 square inches of warming overhead space. Which is great for food that needs to be stored and kept warm, then tuck it away when not in use!

An additional feature you’ll look forward to is the presence of a side burner! Whenever someone asks me if it’s just a matter of having a side burner or not, I’d always prefer to have one with a closable lid. This way, I’ll have a spot for cooking the veggies or crafting my secret BBQ sauces. Or I can simply close the lid and have the extra workspace when not in use! You shouldn’t also underestimate its side burners as it can produce 12,000 BTU-per-hour.

The Genesis models, including this one, are optimizing the GS4 Grilling system. It’s designed to make every grilling amazing and hassle-free. Firstly, the electronic ignition sparks its high performing burners every time. Secondly, these burners ensure consistent and even heat distribution. Its unique tapered-shape burner tubes are made of a durable stainless steel which is resistant to burn-throughs and all sorts of stains and damage.

Then, the Flavorizer bars will work wonders! Not only will it infuse the smoky flavor goodness to your meat, but also help reduce flare-ups. Lastly, you have a reliable grease management for easy cleanup after every use. It handles funneling of the grease pretty well down into the handy catch pan right below the cookbox. Once full, simply take it out, dispose of the grease, and you can go on grilling to your heart’s content!

As for cooking power, the Genesis II LX 340 has a sizable 43,500 BTUs of heat which is more than enough to handle the larger cooking space it sports. Furthermore, it even has High+ heat settings for an added boosts of heat for faster preheat time and hit those high temperatures for the perfect sear.

This natural gas grill measures in at 48 by 59 by 29 inches with a closed lid. This actually makes it slightly bigger than the Spirit E310, which is no surprise given its larger cooking surface as well. Nevertheless, it is still rather compact and easy to store as well as you can fold down its left side table.

Its enclosed cabinet design provides additional and well-protected storage room. While the stainless steel side tables let you place your plates and bowls full of food to grill. The side tables have integrated tool hooks to hang your tongs, spatulas, and other grill tools at arm’s length.

You also get some extra glow from the Genesis II LX 340, like, literally! While it may not be necessary, the Genesis 340 comes with cool handle lights found on the lid and control knobs that also light up. I say, they’re extra features as the grill is already awesome in itself, but having them now is pretty handy especially for night barbecues.

The handle light on the lid even turns on and off automatically when you open or close the lid. The handle light uses LED to illuminate your cooking area. This will help you properly spot if the meat is grilled to your content!

The Genesis II LX S-340 is also iGrill3 ready! You can now use your phone to monitor your grill’s temperatures. Very Nifty! All you need to do is simply download the Weber iGrill app on your phone. And, well, buy the actual accessory too since they are sold separately. But even if you don’t buy the iGrill3, there’s still a built-in thermometer on the lid to rely on.

The Genesis II LX S-340 may not be for you though if you find yourself among these scenarios: Its price is totally out of your budget range. Having a side burner is not a necessity for you. You need to feed a larger family or prefer a larger cooking surface. But despite all that, you still want the quality of a Genesis, then a Genesis II E-410 may be more up to your alley.

On a quick note, the Genesis II E-410 has 646 square inches of cooking space with 198 square inches of a tuck-away warming rack overhead. While its 4 burners produce 48,000 BTUs to keep the reversible cooking grates hot and able to hit high temperatures.

Nonetheless, if you can afford the Genesis II LX S-340, I highly recommend it. You won’t regret having a powerful gas grill that is built to last. Not to mention, it looks cool and refined in your backyard. Having the Genesis II LX 340 will totally up your grilling game. So here are some reasons why I think that the Summit S-470 definitely is the summit of natural gas grills!

The Summit S-470 is by far the most versatile among our best natural gas grills list. It has a total of 580 square inches of a cooking area which is suitable for feeding medium to large families. Thus, throwing BBQ house parties will be your thing! You can cook 20 burger patties or about 4 whole chickens on the 468 square inch standard cooking surface at once on this without any problem. While the 112 square inch warming rack is ready to keep anything warm for you while you grill everything else.

Now to the juicy details! The Weber Summit S-470 is everything but a basic grill. When I say it’s versatile, it clearly is the whole package. You get your main cooking area, a side burner, a sear station burner, a smoker and a rotisserie burner. How freaking cool is that?!

The main burners pack 48,800 BTUs of cooking power which is more than enough for its size, so expect it to get really hot. But if you need further oomph in the heat department! You can switch to its 10,600 BTU Sear Station burner to get hit 100 degrees hotter than just closing the lid. Hence, you can achieve that desired sears without making a sweat!

And of course, a flush-mounted side burner with a 12,000 BTUs of cooking power is also present. On the other hand, you’ll have more reasons to say thanks for Thanksgiving when your grill has its own 6,800 BTU smoker burner, and 10,600 BTU rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner! It’s a tuck away rotisserie system with a flip-up motor. While there’s a separate storage area for the spit and fork inside the cabinet. Packed with features is definitely an understatement!

This natural gas grill measures in at 66 by 57 by 30 inches which are slightly sizable and will require quite a bit of space so watch out for that. The body is constructed with a mix of luxurious metals. It is dominantly stainless steel for the cart, lid, burners, cooking grates and doors. While chrome-plated cast aluminum is used for handles and, accent colored painted side and rear panels give some variety to the look.

Our beloved Flavorizer bars are also made of stainless steel! Although with so much the Summit S-470 can do, the Flavorizer bar almost looks more like an accessory instead. Still, it’s just as an integral part of the grill that requires proper care to last. This involves regular cleaning from you. You can do so by burning the grill at high temperature then brush off the remaining debris with a grill brush. You can also wash it with warm water and soap instead while scrubbing it with a steel wool pads. Just avoid using Citrus dishwashing soap.

The Summit S-470 also doesn’t go easy on the extra features despite the crazy amount of cooking tools it already has. Firstly, you have two stainless steel side tables with a total of 6 tool racks to keep everything handy and near you.

Secondly, the grill itself is also super portable with wheels so you can move it around if you need to store it during the winter season. While the cookbox is made of cast aluminum, this only requires minimal maintenance and is pretty much able to handle any type of heat you throw at it. Then combine all these with the shroud will create a great cooking environment with an equal balance of heat distribution for optimized cooking.

The burner tubes are made of high-grade stainless steel which can stand small amounts of water found in natural gas. They’re incredibly sturdy and durable and free of welding and weak points. You can also fine-tune the heat with the many control systems so this natural gas grill is perfect for the most perfectionist cooks.

And much like the Genesis, it has one handle light, 4 control knobs that light up and it’s compatible with iGrill3. So you can just sync and cook away! Lastly, grease management works just as great thanks to the funnel system directing the grease down to the grease tray and catch pan.

The stainless steel grease tray is at a safe distance from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. It’s also large, so it won’t fill up quickly and make a mess while you’re still in the middle of grilling. There’s a front access to the grease tray and pan to easily remove and replace them.

The Weber Summit S-470 is an absolute stunner! Anyone who catches a glimpse will know you really mean business when it comes to your grill. Nothing gets more serious with their grill when it’s complete with features, shows off a stainless steel body and comes with a hefty price tag of not more than two thousand bucks. Weber Summit S-470 is a total knockout! It has all the bells and whistles you could ever want for a natural gas grill.

The Round-Up

Before you can actually use a natural gas grill, you’ll have to install natural gas pipelines to your home. So for you to commit to that, you might as well invest on what’s best out there and maximize the experience. You’ll be getting your money’s worth from them seasons after seasons. Hence, I’m here to help you find the best natural gas grills perfect for your needs.

The Spirit E310 is for the shopper on a budget but still wants some solid quality. It’s a natural gas grill that’s simple, easy to use, and well-designed. It’s also perfect for those who like to grill for small crowds and small families.

But if you have a little extra cash, and looking to invest in a fancier natural gas grill without splurging, the Genesis II LX S-340 is a solid choice. It has better grade materials to last and has more grilling capacity that you really need. So, it will most definitely work like a charm for every barbecue.

Lastly, arguably one of the best natural gas grills out there, the Summit S-470 is a heavy-duty champ for the biggest grillers and those who’re in the market for something high-end. Definitely, the Summit S-470 is a premium choice and justifiably so with the sheer number of features it packs into its premium build frame.

All in all, a budget will most likely dictate the choice, because you’ve got three amazing natural gas grills here. The only question is if you’re going for a base model, mid-range model, or high-end model. One thing’s for sure though, you can’t go wrong with any of these as you’re in good hands of Weber.

Notable Mention

While my top choices for the best natural gas grills are all under Weber, it’s because they have the most extensive selections in this segment. It’s also undeniable that their models of natural gas grills are performing very well. Nothing comes close to the quality Weber has produced in this segment.

The only natural gas grill that caught my attention and worth mentioning aside from Weber is probably the Dyna-Glo Premium Grill. So, if all of my above choices are still beyond your budget, then you might want to consider checking the Dyna-Glo.

When it comes to just cooking size and heat capacity alone, the Dyna-Glo looks best on paper. And it’s even cheaper for about $120 than the Spirit. But when it’s a question of longevity and experience, investing the extra hundred bucks on a Weber does sound more appealing. As a matter of fact, Weber even offers 10 years limited warranty on its grill parts.

The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Weber Genesis II E-210 Liquid Propane Grill

There’s nothing like a well-established brand that’s been creating quality products for years upon years. In the grilling world, one of those brands is definitely Weber. This brand goes back to as far as 60 years when a man named George Stephen invented the world’s first kettle grill in 1952. It has since then evolved into the household name we’ve all come to know – Weber. According to the brand, a grill is not just a grill; it is a focal point for unforgettable experiences. With a company vision like that, I’m not at all surprised they’re one of the leaders in the industry. And to have their work lead our grilling activities, we sure are up for lots of epic moments to come in our lives!

Weber has several lineups of gas grills, but for the budget at hand, it’d be a waste not to invest in a Genesis. While sure, for 500 bucks, you can already own a Weber with its Spirit series. However, Genesis models have higher stainless steel quality construction and equipped with more innovative designs. So once you get your hands on a Genesis, you’ll notice the real differences in built and what’s under the hood. Pun intended! Weber proves to you that what’s on the inside is more important. Because after you get past the gorgeous stainless steel build, you’ve also got a grill that packs quite a punch!

I have to tell you guys that it’s been quite a joy to behold and use the Weber Genesis II E-210 Liquid Propane Grill. I’ve mentioned that the stainless steel body is so nice to look at but the features and design make it a winner in my book. First, let’s talk about Weber’s pride and signature GS4 Grilling System. This feature is based on over 30 years of grilling experience, culinary expertise, and most importantly, Weber knows how to listen to their customers. The GS4 system promises burners that ignite every time without fail, smoke-infused food that grills perfectly consistent and easy cleanup. Their target is to minimize your time around the grill and more time with the people you love!

So what is it exactly that makes up the GS4 Grilling System? In a nutshell, the GS4 Grilling System is made of 4 components which are the electronic ignition, the high-powered burners, Flavorizer bars and grease management. You can be sure that each grilling experience with the Genesis II E210 is hassle-free, reliable and most importantly, amazingly FUN.

Its Infinity Ignition system doesn’t only come with a generous warranty, but also promises a guaranteed ignition every time. Then you have their beautiful tapered shape of the burner tubes. They’re not only nice to look at but also performs superbly. The 2 stainless steel burners promise consistent gas flow from front to back and produce high heat efficiently. Hence, they ensure your grill to distribute heat evenly. To a point where you can place the food anywhere on the cooking grate, yet, they’ll still have a deep sear, flavor and stunningly beautiful sear marks you can boast.

Speaking of flavors, the porcelain-enameled Flavorizer Bars have got to be my favorite of the features. What they do is catch juice drippings, turn them into smoke then coat the food which adds to the smoky, grilled flavor we love. Even the smell of your grilled meat becomes more heavenly, mouth-watering. That’s the real barbecue flavor for me. The ability to create smoky flavor makes this Weber functions quite similar to charcoal grills, but without the tedious task of cleaning up the ashes and its toxicity.

While the drippings they don’t manage to catch and vaporize are sorted out into the grease management system for quick cleanup later! So thanks to its grease management system, cleaning up of grease is a lot easier and stress-free while reducing the risk of sudden flare-ups. Once you’re done with grilling, you can take out the disposable drip tray located within the catch pan under the cookbox. Then just replace the drip tray as needed! Cleaning has never been this easy peasy, mate!

Aside from the grilling gear itself, the body of the Genesis II E-210 also has a lot for you to be happy about. First, the porcelain-enameled, cast iron cooking grates are reversible to match whatever you want to cook. The thin side of the grate is more suited towards cooking delicate food such as fish and shrimp. On the other hand, the wide side can create gorgeous sear marks that can enhance the flavor of your food. It’s also good to know that there’s a porcelain coat, which is better in preventing rust compared to just bare iron grates.

The cooking surface itself is about 380 square inches of cooking space with 114 square inches of tuck-away warming rack overhead. The Tuck-Away Warming Rack can keep your food warm or toast burger buns which folds out when not in use. I especially appreciate this since a lot of gas grills out there require you to completely remove the warming rack when you don’t want to use it and it’s just such a hassle to put away.

However, I can’t really say this particular model is suited for throwing parties for your neighborhood. I think I’d have a pretty hard time serving a fleet with this particular grill. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good barbecue party with the Genesis II E-210. Having frequent intimate gatherings will do just fine. So while the surface pretty much suits smaller servings, it’s still reasonably decent for the size. You can even fit a small turkey there, perfect for Thanksgiving! Plus, the Genesis II E-210 produces a 26,000 BTU per hour input which is more than capable enough for a gas grill this size. Even in colder weather, you won’t have any problem heating this up to 500 degrees. The heat spreads and maintains evenly and consistently which makes for some equally consistent quality food.

The Weber Genesis II E-210 sports an open cart design that not only makes the grill more mobile but also provides you with a ton of extra storage space while you cook. You can just hang your tools and utensils on the side tables with integrated tool hooks! The side tables are also made of stainless steel and the left side can be folded so it won’t get in the way when not in use. I’ve personally find the tables and hooks handy because I usually have to put the seasoning, plates, and utensils at a completely separate table when I grill but now, they’re all within arm’s reach! The Genesis II makes sure that everything you need is easily accessible.

Weber has recently come up with an innovative and sleek feature called the iGrill3. And apparently, the Genesis II models are compatible with it! So, what’s an iGrill3 in the first place? It’s basically a Bluetooth accessory that can be attached to the grill and helps you wirelessly monitor your grill’s real-time temperature and fuel level on your mobile devices! You just have to download the Weber iGrill app and connect it to iGrill then voila! So nifty, right? Unfortunately, it’s sold separately though.

Once you’re done with your grilling, the E-210’s compact frame measures 26 x 33 x 32 inches. It’s about the same size as a small prepping table. You can pretty much store it anywhere or keep it in a convenient space. So far, in my experience with the Genesis II, I haven’t had any major setbacks and just expect to have so much fun grilling.

Compared to other gas grills though, the Genesis II can seem a bit pricey, but its quality and performance clearly speak for itself. And no matter how high quality your meat and ingredients are, if your grill is not at par with quality and cooking performance then all may go to waste. Charred on the outside and raw on the inside plainly tastes terrible! But we don’t have to worry about that. Because Clearly, Weber Genesis II E-210 is also a master of the grilling scene and knows how to make savory barbecues.

If I were to sum up the E-210, I’d say it is the perfect grill for small to medium families. It’s compact but packs a knockout punch with all its advanced features while still remains to be quite easy to use whether you’re a curious yuppie or a 75-year old grandma. You’ll find that the controls feel familiar and it doesn’t take much to adjust to the new grill.

Best of all, don’t you just love it when you can enjoy the convenience of a gas grill and the smoky flavor charcoal grill can bring in one package? Hells yeah! You can have the best of both worlds with Weber. Pretty much why we love them so much and why they offer their grills at a premium. So now that you’re in the market for the best gas grill under 500 bucks, you might want to pick this one up. Why spend hundreds on a one-time meal or cheap grills that just keep breaking every so often, when you can invest in a deluxe grill like the Genesis II E-210 that can last for many long years!

Additional note: In case you have more cash to spare, the Genesis series has so many options for you to choose from. The higher the model number usually means higher heat and capacity it has to cook. Though it also means heftier price tag. The largest one in the series is more suitable for people who constantly like to have barbecues and cater to bigger groups.

Weber Spirit E-310 Gas Grill

Weber Genesis II E-210 has obviously set the bar high for our list of best gas grills under 500 dollar budget. Nothing seems to be a much worthier alternative other than another champ grill from Weber – the Weber Spirit E310. While staying true to my word, a Genesis series is definitely a better investment than a Spirit. However, the Spirit E310 is of higher model, which is basically the counterpart of Weber Genesis II E-310. But seeing how the Genesis II E-310 is already beyond our budget, the Spirit E310 makes up a wise alternative and give a good run for your money as well.

With Weber Spirit E310, you actually get an upgrade from Genesis II E-210’s basic grill features but with slightly lower grade material than the Genesis. The E310 better suits you if you’re in need of bigger capacity, especially since you’re now getting 3 powerful burners that can produce a total of 32,000 BTU per hour input of steady heat. It also performs flawlessly that can get hot as high as more than 600 degrees. So getting that proper sear in the meat won’t be a hitch!

You also get a larger cooking space capacity of 424 square inches with additional 105 square inches for warming, from the total grill dimension of 32 x 52 x 63 inches. The additional size is totes helpful for throwing a kickass barbecue party. The difference in size lets you easily feed extra two heads or so, without making them wait too long to get their share of barbecues. After all, a full stomach makes everyone’s heart happy! Standing on smooth-rolling casters makes it also mobile at a weight of 130 pounds, yet, very steady to hold your backyard grilling as often as you want.

The Weber Spirit E310 also has Weber’s smart grilling system and our beloved Flavorizer bars that smoke and sizzle whenever the meat juice drips down. You can still enjoy that smoked flavor in every bite! You can also have all the fun grilling with the Spirit and not worry about cleaning up a big mess after since it also got a grease management system. Wherein unvaporized juice funnels down to its angled grease tray and disposable catch pan. They’re safely located at a safe distance beneath the cookbox away from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. Gotta put our safety first, right?!

Weber Spirit E310 promises to serve you for a long time. After all, they’re built with quality materials that can withstand regular wear and tear and resist rust. Spirit E310’s cooking grates are made of porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast iron for easy clean-up, durability, superior heat retention for impressive searing.

While its cookbox is made of cast aluminum that helps efficiently withstand any heat needed to cook your food. Its shroud is also carefully designed to allow proper circulation and even distribution of heat around your food whether you’re using direct or indirect heat. And since the shroud is also composed of porcelain-enameled steel, you won’t have to worry about having any painting fading and peeling off your grill or even rusting! Once again, Weber proves they’re not only known for creating pretty grills. They obviously know how to smartly design every nook and cranny of a grill with a purpose to maximize your grilling experience.

Spirit E310 uses an electronic ignition system that can light your grill with just a push of a button. Weber also provided six hooks on the sides to keep your grilling needs within reach. Although you cannot use your phone to check the temperature of the grill, you can still check it using its center-mounted thermometer. Better yet, just get yourself a meat thermometer for better accuracy.

While the Weber Spirit E310 is undoubtedly well-constructed from quality materials, they’re honestly still lower grade than a Genesis model. You also can’t expect it to be completely rust-proof. Although they are going to live longer than average grills, you still have to properly take care of it. The good thing, on the other hand, is they’re more convenient to clean and requires minimal maintenance. Furthermore, you get to save extra 50 bucks for choosing the Spirit over Genesis. And for the same 500 dollar budget, you’re getting a slightly bigger Weber gas grill with more capacity for excellent grilling sessions. It’s guaranteed money well spent for the best gas grills under 500 bucks!

What I don't like

Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grills, 5 Burners

To complete my top three list of the best gas grills under 500 dollars is a product that is made by another leading manufacturing company of fire and heat-related products, including gas grill – the GHP Group. They just so happen to be the bright minds behind Dyna-Glo grills. Which just so happens to be making rounds and buzzes in the market recently. They may not be as upscale as Weber, but you SERIOUSLY shouldn’t shrug off their Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium grill that easily. For the same budget, you’ll be surprised to see what this has in store for you!

Speaking for Dyna-Glo’s 5 burner variant of the Black & Stainless Steel Premium series, this is unquestionably a beast to behold! Well, starting off with the obvious, this one is a very large grill with a dimension of 56.7 x 24.6 x 46.3 inches and weighs 128.3 pounds. So it’s clearly gonna be heavy; but thankfully this one’s got a four heavy-duty, multi-directional casters that can help you move it around with ease. While two of its casters are lockable to make sure your grill stays in place.

Now time to get our geeks on. The Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Steel Premium grill comes out strong with the ability to produce a total scorching heat of 79,000 BTUs! Pretty sick, eh, don’t you think? That intense heat doesn’t come from just one source. It’s a combined cooking power from its 5 commercial grade straight tube burners producing 11,000 BTUs each, a 12,000 BTUs producing side burner and a rotisserie burner with a capacity of 12,000 BTUs. And yes, I’m not playing tricks on you. This one really has a rotisserie burner which is just freaking awesome!

The Dyna-Glo comes with a number of burners at your arsenal, offering you various cooking options to your delightment. You’ll absolutely get that grilling experience you’ve been dreaming of. The Dyna Glo 5 burner premium grill has a stainless steel warming rack. Then take advantage of its powerful burners that can produce 55,000 BTUs of firepower, so it’s no surprise that this can get extremely hot and fast. Time to sear that steak over a high heat or grill those baby back ribs to be perfectly tender.

At the same time, you can use its stainless steel side burner to cook the sidings and sauces regardless of its required temperature as it has controllable heat range. You can also close it for extra work space when not in use. And best of all, you’ll have more reasons to thank for Thanksgiving since you can now roast food with this grill as well. This unit can work well with most 35-inch universal rotisserie kits for slow, even roasting. But unfortunately, you’ll have to buy your own rotisserie kits for it.

The taste of your grilled food is also well considered and taken care by the Dyna-Glo. To compensate for the absence of Flavorizer bars, Dyna-Glo has their own stainless steel heat tents. These tents also add flavor to your food by vaporizing meat’s natural juices. At the same time, they also work to protect its burners and help distribute heat equally across its cooking surface. Admittedly, these heat tents are not at par with the quality of those Flavorizer bars and can get rusted for over a year or two of frequent use. Nevertheless, it’s still reassuring to know that the taste and grilling experience still meet with satisfaction.

Another great thing about having a large grill is getting a large cooking area. In fact, the Dyna-Glo offers a whopping 794 square inches of cooking space. It’d be a good time for you to throw that awesome barbecue party and be the talk of the town for a year! Because of that size, you can pretty much invite your close neighbors or whole extended family since it can easily serve to more than 10 pax at the same time.

Like most gas grills, Dyno-Glo also has an Electro pulse ignition for a quick startup with a simple push. There’s also a built-in thermostat to regulate the temperature inside the double-walled hood. And just like how most grills also work, igniters and thermostat aren’t the most reliable. Electronic igniters tend to break the quickest and having your own meat thermometer still gives the most accurate measurement of temperature.

Its grates are made of stainless steel rod for even heat distribution and are an ideal finish to achieve those lovely sears on every grill. In addition, the grates are very easy to clean and maintain. Speaking of maintenance, you can also purchase a custom fit Dyna-Glo premium cover to protect your grill from the elements.

While I find the Dyna-Glo to be well-built with a good set of materials, stainless steels even, it’s still at risk of getting rusted. Some of its parts are compromised in order to lower its price. So don’t expect to be able to keep this around for 10 or more years. That will already be quite a stretch. Nonetheless, you can still get a good long run with it for several seasons or about 3-5 years. Just make sure to properly handle and maintain the grill by keeping it clean and dry after every use.

The Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grill is available to run on fuels of either liquid propane (LP) or natural gas. So before you jump right into buying it, you may also want to consider investing on its natural gas grill variant for just a few bucks above the $500 mark. Honestly, I find it wiser to invest in the best natural gas grill if you have the opportunity since it has lots of benefits. And if you really think about it, the difference in price between LP and natural gas variant won’t even make a big dent in your bank account. You can even save more with natural gas as fuel in the long run. But that all depends on your preference and whether a natural gas line is already available in your area.

For the same price, or could be even 50 bucks less, you can get yourself a monster gas grill with more functionality to play with! While it’s true that the Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grill won’t probably lasts as long nor even longer than a Weber, it clearly has plenty of features to offer for the price. The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Weber Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas Grill

First on my list is the Weber Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas Grill. While Weber E210 is understandably not the biggest in the bunch, it’s still undeniably worth your attention! Simply carrying a reputable name, Weber, already says a lot. The Spirit E210 is Weber’s entry gas grill that promises to deliver the same quality and superb experience just like any of their other gas grills. Hence, this is a good opportunity for you to actually own your first Weber without breaking the bank and experience Weber’s performance first hand.

Weber promises quality grills since they’re made with sturdy and durable materials. The E210’s cookboxes are made of cast aluminum for toughness and better resistance against heat, no matter how hot your grill needs to be. Not to mention, they also require minimal care and maintenance so it’s a lot easier to keep them clean for longevity. While its burners are made of high-grade stainless steels for better resistance to rust and burn-through. Hence, Weber E210 guarantees your safety and solid built to serve your grilling hobby for years!

Every grill is not yet assembled when purchased, but this one’s very handy, quick and easy to put together. Its assembled dimensions with the lid open are 63 x 60 x 32 Inches. Given its size, it is indeed space-saving and perfect for smaller patios and balconies. Nevertheless, you can also still barbecue plenty of steak pieces or a rack of ribs on a spacious cooking surface of 450 square inches. It’s composed of 360 square inches of primary cooking area and 90 inches of warming rack. It’s more than capable to serve up to 6 pax at the same time. So, you can expect to grill as many barbecues as you want and be assured that everyone leaves the party on a full stomach.

Grilling on this Weber makes every cookout enjoyable that will let you get over your old cheaper grill quickly. The Weber E210 has an Electronic Crossover ignition system that easily lights up its two burners with a push of the igniter button. Needless to say, it’s easy to use and way safer! The E210 provides 26,500 British Thermal Unit (BTU) per hour input. That’s already a lot of heat to whip up your delicious barbecues. And to make it more interesting, Weber has their very own porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars!

So what’s up with Flavorizer bars, you say? Let me just say, they make wonders to your grilled meals! Hey, just hear me out first. I’m not exaggerating here, mate. Flavorizer bars are really effective in adding more smoky and flavorful taste. The bars achieve it by catching the juice drippings from the meat, then let the drippings vaporize back and coat the meat. Adding that extra oomph to taste!

Weber E210’s cooking grates are made of three exceptional materials which are porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast iron. Each has different characteristics that you would look for in a grate, but all retain heat evenly. Porcelain-enameled steel cooking grates don’t wear off easily. While stainless steel rod cooking grates make beautiful sear marks we always crave for. Lastly, the porcelain-enameled cast-iron has superior heat retention. And did I mention that all the grates are very easy to clean?

Additional features for this handsome grill are a center-mounted thermometer, an enclosed cart, and a porcelain-enameled shroud. It also offers six tool hooks, two heavy-duty front-locking casters, and two heavy-duty back swivel casters. A 20-pound LP tank is needed to power up this baby. So, don’t forget to stock up on its fuel before the big event. The Weber gas grill’s user-friendly fuel gauge will be your guide on fuel consumption. Sounds cool, eh.

You can expand your working area instantly thanks to its foldable stainless side tables. When not in use, fold them down so it won’t take up too much space and convenient storage. That’s an even more reason why Weber Spirit E210 Gas Grill is highly recommended for smaller backyards or simply if you have space issues.

Bottom line here is that the Weber Spirit E210 is the only full-standing Weber that you can buy below 400 bucks. And although you can actually buy a 2 burner grill at a lower price, they won’t come close to the quality and innovative performance of a Weber. On the other hand, if you want a natural gas grill or a grill with more than 2 burners, you can still choose from other Weber’s Spirit line. However, that would set you back for another 50 to hundred bucks, more or less.

In all honesty, Weber Spirit E210 is not just buying a machine that can cook. You’re bringing home a Champ! There’s a touch of excellence in grilling and quality built that without a doubt could last you for many seasons to come. For that, I find it easy to be my top picks for the best gas grills under 400 dollars.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Weber Spirit E210 Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • Two stainless steel burners produce 26,500 BTU-per-hour
  • 360 sq. in. of the primary cooking area plus 90 sq. in. of warming rack for a total cooking area of 450 sq. in.
  • Has Porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grates and porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars
  • easily sparks with its electronic crossover ignition system
  • Includes: fuel gauge, 6 tool hooks, mounted thermometer and Limited warranty

What I like

  • Great Build Quality
  • Presence of the Flavorizer Bars
  • Heats up high
  • Compact size with decent cooking space

What I don't like

  • Cooking size is comparably smaller
  • Might be challenging to put the propane tank to the scale at first

Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grills

Next on my list of best gas grills under 400 bucks is Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Gas Grill. Although Dyna-Glo may not always be a top-of-mind brand, I still find most of their works as my personal favorite. They have a good grasp on producing above average grills at an affordable price. So, it’s always worth taking time to check on their items. And as far as your $400 goes, it can already go a long way with their Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grill.

So, let’s jump into the nitty-gritty of the machine, shall we?! First of all, you’ll appreciate its large cooking area of 667 square inches. It’s almost twice the size of Weber E210. This means bigger party and more meats on the grate! However, unlike Weber E210 its side tables are fixed and cannot be folded. While on the plus side, you get yourself a handy side burner that can produce up to 12,000 BTU per hour. Pretty slick if you ask me.

The side burner comes with flush mounted cover and variable heat range for your foods and sauces that require high or low temperatures. Best for your side dishes and veggies. So now you can cook them at your convenience or just close its cover for an extra workspace when not in use.  All I could say is that this grill extension is totally a haul! Does your old grill has this? None I suppose.

The Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grills have 4 commercial grade stainless steel burners to accommodate your desired cooking power heat. Speaking of heat, each burner can produce 12,000 BTU’s each. So expect this baby to get absolutely HOT, and fast. You’ll definitely have a blast deep searing your meat and see those appealing sear marks on them. These perfect sear marks will make your steak even more mouth-watering! Oh, just the thought of it is making my stomach grumble. Now I’m craving for a steak as well.

Now, for other cool stuff you’ll get on board with this baby is the usual electronic ignition which, is very safe and convenient to use. You’ll also get 2 pieces of heavy gauge 7 mm enameled cast iron cooking grates, an enameled steel warming rack, and 4 porcelain-enameled steel heat tents under a double wall lid. The heat tents aren’t there just to make it look pretty though. They help protect the burners, distribute heat evenly across the cooking area and vaporize food’s natural juices to add that extra kick in flavor. Moreover, it does an awesome job for indirect grilling.

Fun facts: its double wall liner actually retains heat efficiently, thus greatly improves the grill’s cooking performance. While enamel-coated cast iron or enamel-coated steel are closely comparable to a stainless steel. Although they aren’t tougher than stainless steel, enamel has non-stick and some non-rusting characteristics similar to stainless steels. Dyna-Glo’s two-door cabinet is intended for propane storage and installation. It also includes 4 heavy-duty casters for faster mobility, and an integrated temperature gauge found on the lid as well.

The best part about the Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium grill is the availability of its natural gas variant, which is highly commendable. Since I’m an advocate of the natural gas, I personally like using natural gas-fueled machines for they’re loaded with benefits to us and the environment. And since natural gas is less expensive than LP gas, Dyna-Glo grills will help you save up more in the long run. If you’re thinking of what I’m thinking, that also means more weekend and summer grilling parties, yay!

Seriously though, the best natural gas grills have impressive features and benefits that will also make you proud to use one. But if natural gas would not be viable in your place, then profane would be the best option since it’s always readily available in the market. Regardless of your choice, the Dyna-Glo premium grill is flexible and accommodating should you choose profane over natural, or vice versa.

The only issue I encountered that some people find the interior to start rusting after 2 to 3 years of use. It can be an isolated case but it is still a risk to take. Nevertheless, rusting can be delayed, if not prevented, with proper maintenance. So make sure to properly and regularly clean your machine.

Other than that, this won’t give you any further headaches. It has normal assembly since the instruction manual is as easy as your ABC. If you’re not a tool savvy though, you can opt to have experts assemble the grill to save you the hassle and make most of your time. The only downside is you have to cough up extra bucks for the service. Either way, it’s all up to you. In the end, you get a full-standing and feature-packed grill that gives a bang for your $400 bucks.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Dyna-Glo Black & Stainless Premium Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • 4 Stainless steel commercial grade straight tube burners and side burner
  • Each burner produces 12,000 BTU’s for a total of 60,000 BTU’s of cooking power heat
  • Has a total of 667 sq. inches of cooking space
  • 2 pc heavy gauge 7 mm enameled cast iron cooking grates, enameled steel warming rack and 4 enameled steel heat tents under a double wall lid
  • Cabinet style two-door cart with 4 heavy-duty casters
  • Integrated temperature gauge for accurate grill zone temperature measurement
  • With electronic ignition and infinite setting control valves

What I like

  • Availability of Natural gas variant
  • Largest cooking space for the price
  • Heats up fast and can get very hot

What I don't like

  • Heat tents may cause some flare-ups

Char-Broil Performance 6-Burner Gas Grill

Lastly, but certainly not the least, is Char-Broil Performance 6-Burner Gas Grill. In all fairness, there’s a common perception on Char-Broil producing cheap grills. While it doesn’t always translate to cheap quality products, their works are mostly affordable. Still, you have to be extra careful in buying a Char-Broil as there are few that failed to hit the mark. But in recent years, I can honestly say that I’ve been seeing leaps of improvements in their works, where quality is not being completely compromised for price. A good example is the Char-Broil Performance, wherein its lower counterpart is also featured on best gas grills under $200. This time, we’re putting the spot on its Char-Broil Performance’s 6-burner variant.

It could take up to 2 hours to assemble this thing, but instructions are pretty clear. Once assembled, you’ll notice that it’s actually the biggest on the list with dimensions of 47.523 by 65.5 by 23 inches. This monster of a grill houses 6 burners, so a strong heat production can be expected from it. A total of 60,000 BTU’s, in fact, with 10,000 BTU’s from its lidded side burner.

Surprisingly though, it only has the same power as the Dyna-Glo and smaller cooking area of 650 square inches, which is still wide by the way, despite being bigger and more burners present. On the upside, the Performance actually does perform slightly better in terms of heat efficiency for the size. And since it has a knob for each burner, you also get better control over its fire and your cooking preference.

On the other hand, its 6th burner is actually dedicated to searing and direct high heat cooking. While sure, having a dedicated searing station is way better, but at this price range, I’ll be more than happy to welcome this nifty upgrade!

Its primary cooking space has porcelain-coated cast iron grates, while you also get an additional 280 square inches of a porcelain-coated swing-away rack. Same with the aforementioned gas grills, Char-Broil Performance uses an electronic igniter to light up. Its large metal side shelves allow ample working space for you. While its double-door cabinet provides storage space for your tools and easy access to the grill’s propane tank.

It’s also good to know that Char-Broil didn’t skimp out on quality too much just to make a 6-burner grill affordable. Char-Broil Performance has Stainless steel parts in the right places to ensure durability and longevity against rust. Its 6 top-ported burners inside, 2 cabinet doors, grill lid, UFC, and fascia are all constructed of stainless steel. And despite being sturdy, it’s pretty easy to move around the backyard thanks to its 4 wheel casters.

While Weber has their Flavorizer bars to boast, Char-Broil Performance also has nifty tricks up in their sleeves. In fact, Char-Broil houses a convective cooking system that helps achieve even heat distribution and reduces flare-ups simply by closing the lid. Plus, it does an amazing job on indirect grilling. I think that was simply genius to apply science in your grilling sessions. I can’t deny I was pretty impressed and kinda amazed when I learned about it too.

Let’s now move on to some issues others found with Char-Broil Performance 6-Burner Gas Grill. Assembling this thing can spell quite a disaster for some. It may take several hours to put this together and few others even found some parts dented. But once you successfully put it together, people find themselves very well satisfied with what Performance can do, especially for its price.

From afar, you can already see a monster grill standing in your backyard with its dapper finishing and 6 burners heating up the place. While the Char-Broil Performance doesn’t have lots of fancy feature displays, it can still closely do the same tricks. Everything you need for a gas grill is surely covered. Yet at the same time, you can also cook for a larger crowd, making this as one of the best gas grills under 400 dollars as well.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Char-Broil Performance Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • 6 Burners produce 60,000 BTU’s with 10,000 BTU’s lidded side burner
  • 650 sq. in. of primary cooking on porcelain-coated cast iron grates plus 280 sq. in. of secondary cooking on a porcelain-coated swing-away rack
  • Stainless steel lid, handle, control panel fascia and cabinet provide style and durability.
  • Large metal side shelves offer added prep and workspace.
  • Electronic ignition for fast and reliable startups
  • Cabinet has two doors for easy access to storage area
  • Removable grease pan for quick and simple cleaning

What I like

  • Large cooking space with warming rack
  • Very high heat
  • Best precision control over flame
  • Comes with a searing burner

What I don't like

  • Some parts are subject to dents
  • Count its parts first before putting together, some have noted of missing pieces when they received the item

The Round-Up

So, how is it going so far? Still thinking about your old, rundown grill? It’s definitely hard to let go of things you’ve gotten used to. But seriously, you already had a lot of seasons out from it. It’s about time to replace them with better ass grills. And you won’t regret owning any of the best gas grills under 400 dollars that I have rounded for you, mate.

You get to taste the whole experience of cooking on a full-sized, WEBER grill. Need I say more? However, if you constantly cook for a large crowd, you definitely need a larger grill. And that’s where the Dyna-Glo and Char-Broil come in and heat up the competition (partly due to their high BTUs). You can also easily convert to a natural grill with your Dyna-Glo and have a greener lifestyle. Or have better freedom on your cooking styles with the Char-Broil Performance.

So hurry up and bid your goodbyes to your old grill, and say hello to the shiny new gas grill waiting for you!

Whatever seasons come and go, one thing we, Americans, will definitely never get tired of – having a good old-fashioned barbecue! Whether it’s in your very own backyards or quaint balconies of your apartments, it’s pretty awesome how much experience and memories we can get from a well-cooked homemade burger or steak. In fact, the best times we had with our loved ones are those shared over delectable grilled treats! Looking back, most epic moments come from my happy childhood memories of big family barbecues, or hazy summer parties with friends. It just goes to show how grilling is more than just cooking a piece of meat. It’s a bonding experience that becomes a huge part of our lives. There’s no better way to enjoy grilling, but through savoring mouth-watering dishes together with all of your peers, all made possible by having the best gas grills under 300 bucks!

First of all, let’s get one thing clear. In this price range, you won’t get all the bells and whistles of what a gas grill can do. Because features like built-in rotisseries or separate searing station are usually present among beast machines worth $1000 and above price point. While specs like these are really cool, it certainly doesn’t affect your daily cooking needs. So what can you get from a $300 budget? You get a freaking awesome grill with all the must-have features such as high heat power, bigger cooking capability and best of all, solidly built.

If you’ll notice, grills in this price range are made with better materials with a fuller body, as opposed to the cart-style built we often see between $100 and $200 price range. Manufacturers at this point, aren’t really pressured to find the most budget-friendly materials and construction methods to achieve a really affordable gas grill. In other words, with 300 dollar gas grills, designers are given a lot more wiggle room to create well-featured gas grills that are pretty much made to last. You, on the other hand, get to throw bigger parties, enjoy better grilling experience and show off your cooking prowess while still keeping your wallet happy.

With $300 budget, you can surely get yourself a spanking new unit that could last several grilling seasons. However, shopping today becomes a lot trickier due to overwhelming choices. Plus, there are still manufacturers that skimp out on quality over price. So, unfortunately, there’s still a good chance that a lot of us could end up getting confused and buy the wrong thing.

But hey, no worries! My guide today hopes to fix this common consumer conundrum in finding the best gas grills under 300 dollars. Even I had quite a hard time narrowing down the list that I ended up with 4 choices. Nevertheless, they have their own characteristics that make them attractive for a specific need. I’m sure you’ll also find your grilling fix among them!

The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Weber Q2200 Liquid Propane Gas Grill

I’m kicking off the reviews with one of the most reputable brands in the grilling scene, Weber. Owning a Weber truly makes you feel like you’re a step closer to becoming a renowned grill master! The key word there is “feel”. But seriously though, it’s rare to see a Weber with a cheap price tag. Most of the time, you’ll have to shell out more money just to own one. Hence, you have to be more seriously committed to grilling to spend that much. So, owning a Weber for just under 250 bucks surely sounds a sweet deal to me.

However, what we have here is not a full-sized grill, but actually a portable type. I would recommend this to those living in the city, who don’t have enough space or who aren’t allowed to accommodate large grills at home. And if you enjoy having barbecues at the park, then the more you’ll also love having one of these. I’m talking about the Weber Q2200. It’s incredibly compact and perfect to place on any kitchen counter.

The Weber Q2200 is perfect for feeding a family or a small, intimate gathering. And despite its small physique, the Weber Q2200 Liquid Propane Grill can definitely perform to please even the fussiest grillers. Its one stainless steel burner produces 12,000 BTU’s of heat across its respectable 280 square inches of cooking area. That’s more than enough to cook 8 quarter pound burgers in one go.

Honestly for me though, its heat efficiency is a little low for the size. So, getting it hot up to 500-550 degrees may take a bit longer to achieve, still doable though. You might just have to preheat this thing for about 10-15 minutes and there you go! While heating it up over 300 degrees is pretty fast and easy-peasy. You can still have your favorite steaks and burgers perfectly seared inside. You can taste the flavor and feel its juiciness on every bite, aww, just so good! On the other hand, its lower BTU Rating means the Weber Q2200 consumes lesser fuel. Your gas canisters won’t quickly run out, and so is the life of your party!

Its porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates give you a durable cooking surface that evenly distributes heat. While the cast aluminum lid and body is perfectly lightweight but resistant to the elements to keep it portable at 42 pounds and durable at the same time! The only downside though, aluminum doesn’t retain heat as effectively as cast iron. Weber had to compromise a bit for the lighter frame. But hey, it’s not a big downer, really. Just make sure to shut the lid quickly every time you flip or rotate your food so the heat won’t get out and keep the temperature still. Oh and by the way, it also has tall a lid, so it’s cool as you don’t have to stick with just grilling boring hotdogs and stuff. You can up the game and grill small roasts and birds.

Once you buy the Q2200, the best part is that it comes completely assembled right out of the box. No more darn headaches, mate, you can go straight to grilling! There’s an easy-start electronic ignition that promises you a quick start-up with every push. It also has infinite control burner valve settings for surefire personal grilling experience. You also get 2 fixed handy side shelves for storing your plates, sauces, marinades, cooking utensils, and your meats.

Depending on your cooking needs, the Weber Q2200 has an interchangeable grate to give you an ideal surface for your desired dish. You can easily replace the default grill with any of the Q2000 series compatible cooking grates that are sold separately. This gas grill runs on liquid propane cylinders but you can actually switch to a gas tank if you also purchase the additional accessory of an LP Adapter Hose. This definitely emphasizes that big things come in small packages like this.

And if you have more extra cash, you can also invest on the Weber 6557 Q Portable Cart, which is sold separately. The Weber Q2200 fits perfectly well on that cart, so it can stand on its own and makes moving it around the house a lot easier! While it’s all up to you whether to buy it or not in the future, the cart is a useful accessory for additional convenience. Buying them together, though, could also save you a bit more.  Nevertheless, the Weber Q2200 is a superb, portable piece on its own that can fire up your grilling game even without the cart.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Weber Q2200 Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • Might be tough to get past 500 degrees especially in a very windy condition

Fuego Element F21C Carbon Steel Gas Grill

Moving up to a slightly bigger in size and a free-standing grill, we got the Fuego Element F21C. The first thing you’ll notice is its sleek and unique design. Doesn’t it look more like a rocket ship to you!? Kidding aside though, its futuristic vibe sure looks stunning. Well, here’s a fun fact for you! The Fuego Element was actually designed by former Apple Chief Designer Robert Brunner in California. It even won the Vesta’s Best Gas BBQ & Spark Design Award, so you can be sure you’re in good hands with this one. With all the big fuss on its design, it would seriously be cool to have a piece of that. It will surely make an easy conversation starter for your party. Aside from killer looks though, Fuego also throws knock-out punches when it comes to features.

Fuego Element F21C is a compact gas grill with more mobility thanks to its sturdy base wheels. This is highly recommended for people who prefer bigger grill but live in homes with more limited space. The body only takes up a compact 21” by 21” footprint which allows for easy storage and takes only a little bit of space. And once you get you get your hands on this, putting it together is pretty quick and easy since it only has 14 screws to figure out. While for a really handy person, it could even take less than 30 minutes to assemble.

Now for the hotter topic. Fuego also doesn’t lack in the cooking power department. In fact, it produces a fire distribution rating of 21,000 BTU’s per hour burner system that’s suitable for 50 20-minute cooking cycles. It can also get to a temperature of 500F within 5 minutes and go up to a bit over 650F in full blast if you need it to. It, however, did fall a bit short in even cooking as there’s a cooler spot at the center of grill compared to its edge.

Regardless, we can easily turn around this sitch with a simple shifting technique. Start cooking your food thoroughly in the middle then finish them off with a good crisp and brown color by switching them to the edge of the grill. You can also use the colder spots like a warming rack but it’s handier for an indirect cooking. Indirect cooking is actually one of the important skills you ought to learn to be a better grill master. Once you get the hang on its cold spots, you will eventually find it useful for your grilling.

This unit has its very own built-in lid thermometer to help you monitor its temperature. But you can’t beat having an actual meat thermometer for best accuracy. Fuego F21C also sports a snazzy 15-pound porcelain enamel cast iron grate, which is a solid material by the way. It has better heat retention and provides a massive heat sink for those delicious looking sear marks. Despite the small footprint it takes up, the cooking surface itself is an admirable 346 square inches. That’s about an ideal size for cooking 12 quarter pounds or 4.5” diameter burgers.

To save you a lot of time when you want to grill, the Fuego Element F21C has a push-button electronic ignition for that instant startup. The gas tank fits so easily and seamlessly into the tank storage with a nifty hinged tank storage access door. After grilling, there’s an easy clean residue tray that you can pull out and clean up. Afterwards, you can just easily roll the F21C into its storage space. Best of all, if you already have a natural gas source installed, the Fuego can be readily converted to a natural gas grill. You’ll just have to specially order the conversion kit from the company and have them install it for you for your safety.

When they say there are always more than meets the eye, that appears to also be true for Fuego. It’s not just one heck of a stunning piece of machine, but it also packs quite the punch. The Fuego Element F21C has high heat power, large cooking surface, and solidly built. And while it comes in a small package, it no doubt performs just as badass as other expensive larger grills. So it’s no surprise why we’ll bet our money on it for the best gas grills under 300 dollars.

Here’s a Quick Recap of Fuego Element F21C Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living Gas Grill

Another entry for a small gas grill category is the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living. With its name alone, you can already tell this one also aims to be compact. While this is obviously bigger than the Fuego, I can promise you that every space it’s taking up on your lawn, deck or patio is all worth it!

Dyna-Glo clearly bumped up in size but that’s only because it’s putting on more muscles. The Smart Space Living now sports with 3 powerful burners producing 12,000 of BTU’s per hour each, for a total of 36,000 BTU’s of cooking power! That’s more than efficient heat to get the grill ridiculously hot and FAST. You can pretty much get this to 300F for less than a minute and could even go as high as over 650F for just under 10 minutes.

On the flip side, the Dyna-Glo is not far different from Fuego in terms of even heat distribution. Wherein the back of the grill is way hotter than its front. You really ought to give your grill a run to get a feel for your grill and look out for any colder spots. Nevertheless, it got 2 heavy gauge porcelain-enameled cast iron, cooking grates which has excellent heat retention. It can sear foods and lock in the natural juice pretty swell.

Oh, and by the way, its 3 burners are made of commercial grade stainless steel which is an awesome upgrade in quality for the price. To assist its burners, there are also another three steel heat tents that protect the burners and flavor foods. And when I say it’s putting on muscles, not only is it more powerful but there’s also a noticeably wider cooking surface of 503 square inches. You can probably cook about 18 burgers at once. Plus, you can throw bigger barbecue parties now with its larger cooking area. And since it doesn’t take too much space in your home, you can actually have more friends over as well.

Another good thing about having 3 separate burners, you have a control knob for each. Hence, its infinite control valve options provide flexibility and the best grilling performance and experience for you. When you’ve got a hankering for a delicious grilled meal, starting it up is as easy as ABC with the Easy-Push Electronic Pulse Ignition that ensures a quick start-up. How’s that for a customized personal grilling experience?

Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living’s cover lid is also made of double wall stainless steel to help with retaining heat. It also has a temperature gauge attached to it. Finally, for your convenience, there are gorgeous steel side shelves with integrated towel bar and tool hooks so everything is within your reach. When you don’t need the side shelves, you can easily fold them down to save on space and it also makes it a lot easier to store when not in use! Mobility won’t be a problem here too since it has 2 dependable wheels that support the legs.

For grill lovers who have limited space for the machine, the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living is an option you can’t simply ignore. While it indeed has become slightly bigger than a Fuego, its upgrades in cooking finesse and capacity make it hard to resist. It can even pass out as a strong contender for any full-sized grills available out there, making this a great choice for the best gas grills under 300 bucks. Its no-nonsense design makes great use of every space it takes up and packs every bit of a punch!

Here’s a Quick Recap of Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • Some of its metal pieces are prone to rust and its paint job may chip off

Char-Broil Performance 550 Gas Grill

Going into the less-portable territory, the Char-Broil Performance 550 is definitely a power player in the gas grill world. With its larger frame, this is a great gas grill to have if you have the space for it. You get to bring home a full-sized backyard grill with little extra features to level-up your game.

Despite the size though, you can still easily roll this away with its two sturdy caster wheels. Once you’re ready to start grilling, starting up is also a lot simpler like the rest with its electronic ignition system that promises you reliable spark at every burner. You can easily tell when it’s ready for cooking with the handy-dandy temperature gauge built on the lid of the gas grill.

Given the price range, don’t expect this to be in a full stainless steel body nor will it be able to outlive a Weber. Nevertheless, the Char-Broil Performance is still well-built and could give you a good run for years. In fact, its burners, heat tents, lid, handle, control panel fascia and cabinet doors are stainless steel. In addition, it has large metal side shelves and a porcelain-coated cast iron grates. This coating adds a layer of protection to your grill grates against rust. It can also help prevent food from sticking.

This time, Char-Broil has veered away from a flimsy cart-style body to a double-door cabinet. The two-door cabinet offers plenty of storage space to keep all your essentials near and ready. This gorgeous gas grill also sports 5 powerful burners that are top-ported tube burners for lasting performance. Each has control knobs that provide more precise control over your grill’s hotness for direct and indirect grilling.

Now for the interesting part, you’ve got a really wide cooking surface of 550 square inches for your meats and other ingredients. It has, by far, the biggest cooking area among the gas grills on the list for the same price. You can easily throw a barbecue party for 5 to 8 of your peeps and grill about 24 burgers at once! If that’s not enough, you also have an additional 205 square inches of porcelain coated swing-away warming rack to keep your food warm and the party going.

Char-Broil Performance 550 can produce 45,000 BTU’s, which is just right for the size. While its lidded side burner is very convenient and can produce up to 10,000 BTU’s. It’s perfect for warming sauces or sautéing side dishes for your delicious barbecue meal. You can then fold down the lid to protect its burner and have an extra workspace when you no longer need to cook on it.

The Char-Broil Performance 550 deserves a big high-five for its splendid performance. While it’s rare to see a big sized grill below 300 bucks, yet Char-Broil makes it happen with its Performance 550. Truly a wonderful performance from Char-Broil and a huge bang for the bucks!

Here’s a Quick Recap of Char-Broil Performance TRU Infrared Gas Grill’s Sizzling Features

  • A 5-burner champ for the price
  • Better control precision over desired heat

  • Large cooking space
  • Has efficient firepower for the size

What I don't like

  • Instruction manual to assemble isn’t the easiest to comprehend
  • Some pieces can be prone to dents

The Round-Up

You really can’t go wrong with all these gorgeous choices. I’ll say it again, the best gas grills under 300 dollars are especially reliable. If you’re on to solid portable grills, Weber Q2200 is an easy choice. Can’t afford a bulky grill for your patio or decks? Then Fuego Element F21C is a fitting gas grill for your needs. While if you still prefer a more traditional looking gas grill but still wants to save space, the Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living makes the cut! Lastly, if you’re on to a full-grown grill for bigger parties and larger crowd, the Char-Broil Performance is an excellent choice.

You can be sure that you didn’t totally compromise quality for the price. You’ll be happier to see your 300-dollar grill all worn-out than see a $1000 grill just catching dust because you’ve overspent your budget on the machine. So now you can’t afford to buy the meats for it or simply can’t bring yourself to get the expensive unit worn-down too quickly. Regardless, a $300 budget can already get you a long way with a gas grill.

These grills assure you with tough materials to last for several seasons and can perform pretty well. So you can make no mistake with these as the best gas grill of your very own. But if you want to try looking around the web on your own first, you definitely have to consider a few factors on how to buy the right grill for you. Firstly, determine the space in your home for your grill. The last thing you want is getting a gas grill that’s just way too big for anywhere in your house. Determine the size that you need and think about the crowd you’re planning to feed. Will you be cooking for yourself, or have friends over frequently, or are you a big party person?

In addition, you want to think about the BTU rating of your gas grill. The BTU rating is the fire or heat distribution rating of your gas grill. It’s how hot your grill can become within a given amount of time. In conjunction with the BTU rating, you have to check if the material of your gas grill is durable enough to withstand the heat as well as the exterior elements it will have to deal with in your home. A lot of the grill newbies I know have encountered using powerful grills that are way too hot for the casing and it just ended up in a lot of heartbreak.

Assembly is also pretty important to check. Some gas grills can have a really complex assembly manual that could probably lead you to set up a fire hazard in your home. Or worse, you could never figure out how to assemble the darn thing. But fortunately, Amazon now offers assembly service for a fee. If you are a handy person, then good for you! But if not, then it’ll be wiser to take on this offer to save yourself the trouble and time for setting it up. I mean, come on, who won’t be too excited to try the shiny, new unit and fire up the grill right away? Because I know I will!

The Top Gas Grill Picks and Reviews

Char-Broil Performance Gas Grills

Starting off this list with one of the fan favorites, especially when it comes to affordability. Seriously, even the biggest grill aficionados are head over heels with this gas grill by Char-Broil. So much as earning its very own bestseller status on any review website. Over the years, Char-Broil has been pretty consistent with producing great gas grills that suit every customer’s price range which is really cool. But enough about the introduction of this product and the brand, let’s get to the nitty-gritty, shall we?

The Performance Gas Grill sports 4 powerful burners that provide better control to your cooking. These burners produce 36,000 BTU’s of heat, which means each burner produces up to 9,000 BTU’s. Personally, I feel that it doesn’t have the optimum heat efficiency to its cooking size. After all, more grills nowadays can produce up to 10,000 BTU’s for each burner. Nevertheless, it has more than enough firepower to satisfy your meat cravings anytime you want. It does an adequate job to get hot enough to sear mouth-watering steaks and even cook a 1″ thick cut to a perfect medium.

Added to all this firepower, you also got 475 square inches of primary cooking space. Plus, another 175 square inches of a secondary cooking area that features a swing away porcelain coated grill. You can use this whenever needed and swing away when you just want to use the primary grilling area. The really wide cooking area makes this particular machine more suitable if you plan on feeding larger crowds. While the warming rack will make it easier for you to preheat the buns and cook the sides for your meat. This gas grill is particularly wider so you also have the option to cook with a partner or on your own. Some people don’t like others touching their machines, so it’s all up to you.

In addition, it has a lidded side burner that produces 10,000 BTU’s. This provides an extra space to let you cook barbecue sauces or even more sides for your dishes. While if unneeded, you can just close the lid to protect the burner and use it for additional prep space. It’s a lovely piece of work that can handle lots of stuff going on at the same time. Just make sure you’re also adept at multitasking so you don’t end up burning any of your food or sauces.

The lower cooking surface also sports the same porcelain coated grill. It is perfect for retaining heat without any breakage in the material. There are also large, painted metal side shelves that are great for putting plates, cups, marinades, and even your tools. The lid, handles, control panel, and fascia are all of a stainless steel construction. So they’re not only stylish but also incredibly durable and low maintenance! Starting this gas grill is also a breeze with the electronic ignition system. This creates a reliable spark with every push. It’s a feature very popular among gas cooking appliances nowadays because of its convenience.

Speaking of convenience, this grill has cart-style built with 2 stationary legs for stability; and 2 7-inch wheels for mobility. You can easily wheel it around, while the legs will keep it in place when you’re done moving it. While starting is a breeze, I also love the hefty stainless steel knobs for adjusting the fire. They turn so smoothly but has enough resistance to ensure a more accurate cooking temperature.

The name says it all. Regardless of the price, you definitely will be going home with an excellent performing gas grill. It has more functional features and neat upgrades that can cater for your larger families to enjoy. The price is just a sweet bonus! After all, other well-known brands could offer the same features for twice the price.  Hence, it provides great value for your money-making it as one of the best gas grills under 200 dollars. With all these fantastic features, you won’t wonder why everyone loves this grill.

Char-Griller 3001 Grillin Pro Gas Grill

Another great contender that could give a run for your money is from Char-Griller. Char-Griller 3001 Grillin’ Pro has been around for years. So, they really do are the pros in this price range to last this long. It also has the cart-style built similar to Char-Broil Performance for the convenient mobility.

I’m not really sure why but this gas grill really reminds me of a time machine. It must be the dual stacks that project from the lid! Jokes aside though, the dual stacks that project from the lid are actually one of my favorite features on this awesome gas grill. With these projections, the heat is actually distributed more evenly as these allow excess heat and gases to seep out and even out the cooking field within the lid! After grilling, the dual stacks also provide a safer way to allow the heat to escape and cool down the gas grill itself without exposing a large cooking surface that could be hazardous.

Speaking of the cooking surface, the Char-Griller 3001 Griller Pro sports a very wide 438 square inches of main grilling area with porcelain coated cast iron grates. And if you think that’s not enough, there is also a 192 square inch warming rack to keep finished pieces of meat on! Although its size is just a shy smaller than Char-Broil’s, you can still easily serve a party of 4-6 peeps at the same time.

Now here gets interesting… Although the Char-Griller only has 3 stainless steel burners, it doesn’t lack in the heat department. In fact, when it comes to firepower, the Char-Griller burns its competitors to the ground. Not literally though. The Grillin’ Pro has a total of 40,800 BTU’s plus a side burner with a 12,000 BTU heat capacity. Its side burner works just the same with Char-Broil’s but this one has stronger heat strength. Cooking power alone is superb. Given the size of its cooking surface, paired with strong firepower, this machine has better heat efficiency. Meaning, it distributes heat across the surface more evenly, hits high temperature and gets hot REALLY FAST! The high BTU ratings are especially great for searing as well due to its strong heating capacity. Needless to say, this gas grill can pack quite the punch!

The body of this gas grill is made of a durable steel construction with side shelves and utensil hooks. They are perfect for putting plates, utensils, as well as bowls of sauces and marinades. When you’re just about ready to start grilling, starting this gas grill is as easy as pie with its electronic ignition. Though fair warning, igniters are usually the first ones to fail. But that just happens like in any other grills. There’s also a mounted thermometer on the lid to easily monitor the temperature of the grill and control the heat to your liking. Finally, once you’re done with your grilling, the Char-Griller is easy to move around with its large durable wheels.

In the end, you don’t really need to pay a lot of cash just so you can feel like a pro. Char-Griller Grillin’ Pro can be your best partner along the way to becoming a pro griller, without breaking the bank. With about 10 to 15 bucks difference, the Grillin’ Pro is a little pricier than the Char-Broil Performance. Nevertheless, you get a more powerful piece of machinery that can totally heat things up!

Here’s a Quick Recap of Char-Griller 3001 Grillin’ Pro’s Sizzling Features

  • Heavy Steel Construction with porcelain coated cast-iron grill grates
  • 40,800 BTU’s main burner and 12,000 BTU Side Burner
  • 438 sq. In. Cooking area with 192 sq. in. warming rack
  • Electronic Ignition
  • Durable powder-coated finish

What I like

  • Gets very hot and fast
  • Has high heat capacity and efficiency for its size
  • Also has lidded side burner

What I don't like

  • Propane tank compartment is quite difficult to reach

Coleman RoadTrip LXX Grill

Moving on to our final list is a little different from the rest. We’ve already got awesome choices for a traditional sized gas grill, so this time, we’re going for portable gas grills. Believe me, owning a portable grill makes the outdoors much more fun. Personally, I also own both a traditional sized and portable gas grills. But depending on your needs and lifestyle, I know people who just own a portable grill for all their grilling actions. And they’ve been more than happy for the experience. After all, you can still cook the same delicious grill recipes with the convenience of portability and easy storage.

When it comes to camping and outdoor gears, the first thing that pops to mind is Coleman. No surprise there, since Coleman has always been the hallmark for camping gears and all things for the great outdoors, including portable gas grills. In fact, they’ve been in the business of producing reliable gears through and through. So now they offer quite a number of options. But I’m a big fan of their RaodTrip series, wherein the LXX is the RoadTrip’s top of the line. The first thing you’ll quickly notice is just how incredibly portable it is. The Roadtrip LXX not only looks sleek as heck in black but is about to prove to you why it’s worth every penny! Let’s start with the construction of its body.

It’s made of brushed stainless steel which is not only shiny and swanky but also very durable and ideal for cooking. Every detail is designed with portability in mind. Therefore, staying true to the mobile trademark of Coleman, the Roadtrip LXX sports two wheels that can traverse any terrain. Keeping it in storage is also a breeze with its easy-to-operate collapsible legs. While setting up is just as quick and easy. Once set up, starting up this gas grill is super easy with Coleman’s trademark InstaStart matchless lighting system. You’ve also got a pair of handy-dandy stainless steel sliding side tables to keep tools and ingredients at the ready while they can also slide out-of-the-way when not in use.

As for cooking power, you’ve got a considerable 22,000 BTU’s on an extra large cooking surface of 285 square inches for a portable grill. If you’re just going to base it on numbers, its BTU would seem exponentially lower than the rest on the list. But that won’t be accurate. As a matter of fact, the LXX has great heat efficiency for its size. Its firepower is hot enough to thoroughly cover its cooking surface and get insanely hot fast!

Another noteworthy feature of the Coleman LXX is its cooktop. You can actually interchange it depending on your cooking needs with Coleman’s SwapTop series. Mix and match your grill to a griddle, and even to stove grates to give a very wide variety of outdoor cooking options. You just have to buy them separately though.

While the LXX can’t exactly do what fancier, free-standing, stainless steel gas grills can do. It can still grill your usual burgers, chicken, steaks, and hotdogs. But just not really large pieces of meat all in one go. It can also take slightly longer to cook them than with a standard backyard grill, but that’s to be expected. Nevertheless, you can easily serve food to your family or small circle of 3-4 people without a hitch. To make sure that your cooking is foolproof, the RoadTrip LXX also sports Coleman’s Perfect Flow technology which promises to provide consistent performance regardless of the weather conditions – even the most extreme situations!

Just a little shy away from 200 bucks, the RoadTrip LXX offers huge bang for your bucks over any other portable units. Not to mention, this sleek grill is brought to us by a trusted and long-tested brand, Coleman. So, it’s a no-brainer for me to include this as my best gas grills under 200 dollars. It’s perfect for people who don’t have large space to accommodate bigger grills. Or, simply because you want to extend the thrills of grilling outside your home!

The Round-Up

When looking to buy the best gas grills under 200 dollars, I personally like to do my research at home. Much like you’re doing right now too. This definitely helps rule out impulse buying as well as overspending. If you don’t feel like going from store to store and finding grills that aren’t keepers for you, you can always check a ton of online guides like this one for your utmost convenience! It’ll also be helpful if you’re knowledgeable on how to buy a grill to have a better understanding of your needs and make smarter purchases.

Although, we always start with setting a budget when we’re out to buy stuff. Of course, the price shouldn’t be the only factor that comes to mind when you go online to shop for your gas grill. The money you shell out isn’t everything, even though it’s definitely a big part of any purchase. You also have to take into consideration a bunch of other factors! One of the most important things to check out is the build quality of the gas grill. Is the material durable? Do you see yourself using it for years and years to come?

It’d be a shame if you got yourself a cheap little gas grill while you have to constantly take it out to get fixed. In addition, you have to check the cooking power and heat distribution of your gas grill. This would be the BTU rating of a gas grill which is especially relevant. So, the higher BTU rating means a stronger heat distribution capacity. As a result, you can determine if it can accommodate your grilling and cooking needs.

But take note though, a smaller BTU rating doesn’t necessarily mean that a gas grill won’t be able to cook as powerfully. A smaller BTU rating is usually coupled with a smaller cooking surface. This means it doesn’t need as much firepower to distribute heat because it only has a smaller area to distribute heat on. Another, you have to check for side tables and tool hooks. Because in my experience, these features have always come to my rescue. Thankfully, a lot of the gas grills on the market right now also have these. But it always pays to be thorough, after all!

Portability is also a big factor to consider when you live in smaller apartments or very much into tailgating. So make sure you get a gas grill that you can move around easily or fold into a smaller form for easy storage. The last thing you need is a big grill imposing in the middle of the room and taking up too much space. Of course, you could always take the shortcut and just pick one the best gas grills under 200 bucks I’ve named here and save yourself the trouble!
